So Ohio gets union rights back; What next? Layoffs or tax hikes?

If they had, thier company would either eventually leave or go out of business.

Nonsense. Their company was run by smart people, I'm sure. They would have made it work out. Maybe have to settle for a $5 million bonus instead of $10 million. But if there's money to be made, I'm sure their company would rather be the ones to make it than someone else who steps up and fills the void.

When companies decide to move their businesses to a state, some of the considerations are schools, police, fire, hospitals, etc..

They don't want their kids living in some unprotected and undereducated slum. Location is a big factor and so is cost of living and doing business there. You big babies think that Kasich is going to be allowed to lay off fire-police, teachers, nurses?

What is wrong with you. The people have spoken.

:lmao:

Yes the left supports the "people" in government not the "people" in the private work place.

Okay, extremist whacko, if you were paying any attention you'd see that I am supporting the will of the people over the will of the politicians. But in your radical mind, you're so blinded to anything and everything that isn't already protected by your own confirmation bias that you've become entirely detached from reality. It's extremists like you who plot to over throw the government and condemn anyone who doesn't agree with you as being on "the left." And I simply cannot take the risk of having terrorists like yourself pop up on my hard drive. BLOCKED!

Most Socialists/Progressives forget that these Government Unions are only screwing hard-working Taxpayers. They are not screwing the "Evil Corporations." Most of these States really are in financial ruins. They need to balance their budgets and get rid of their Debt. And it's pretty obvious the Public Unions could care less. They always conveniently forget they work for us the average Taxpayers. They don't work for their "Evil Corporation" Boogeyman. This vote was based solely on emotion and they will regret it someday.

Don't you think that business coming to Ohio or any state would be beneficial? You don't have that advantage when your plan of attack is to fire essential personnel.

They need to find another way or they will be out next November. The extreme measures are unacceptable. Talking point Kasich needs to go anyway.

I owned a business in Ohio. Closed it up due to regulations and insurance costs. I happen to know many business owners that are about to close their doors for the same reason. Many have been here for 50 plus years. If you actually think that police ,fire, and teachers in this economy will bring people here, you are fooling yourself.

SB5 was keeping it where the police were not given incentives to write tickets. People get tickets for not having their windsheild wipers on if it is drizzling rain or their lights aren't on:eusa_eh: I don't know about you, but a ticket for that kind of thing shows just how desparate the state is for money

Very good points. I just can't fathom why there are so many Big Government people in this country. Is it all about possible Freebies and propaganda brain washing? A ticket for not having your windsheild wipers on is a perfect example of Big Government oppression. Why do so many Americans want more of that? It's like they're supporting everything that is against their own best interests. It has to be the Big Government propaganda. It's the only logical explanation. It's so sad and perplexing.

business is fleeing Ohio.. what part of that eludes ewe?

"Give us more Big Government!!"...Hard to understand that mentality. Why do so many want more Government harassment in their lives? How did so many get duped into cheerleading for Big Government? It really is a mystery.

OWS is sure trying to spend what isn't there.

Sorry Jake..that won't fly. We live in a country with people with personal wealth of over 48 billion dollars. I can't imagine what one person does that is so valuable they have that much money. And if "collective bargaining" were that big a problem..we wouldn't have the extreme disparity in wealth we see today.

You actually make no sense. Collective bargaining has been killing businesses and now the states. You can argue against it but the facts are staring you in the face. If we do not do away with the collective bargaining rights, we will end up have a Greece spring.

Out of control collective bargaining can do exactly that. Out of control union and worker bashing can kill the middle class. Doing away with collective bargaining rights will help kill the American middle class and simply make the wealther even more wealthy.

No set of connects facts objectively will lead to your conclusion, miami_thomas, but you can post them if you think you have them.

What is need: common, cool-headed bargaining.

The corporatists, libertarians, and communists here are all fools, arguing only for the narrow-sightedness of their own desires.

Either we play from the middle, or we fail.

Grow up, guys.

That's not so. The middle is for when the extremes are in power. Right now, for the last quite a few election cycles, the middle has been in greater control. Even the Republicans have moved quite a deal to center.

Now it is time for the more extreme to pull the middle away and get back to their raison d'être. Hence the reasons for the movements.

The OWS is the extreme Liberality and the Tea Party is a desire of the grass root Republicans to get back to their basics.

OWS?

Handouts....

What makes you think businesses will come to Ohio? Before yesterday's vote, Ohio was the 7th most taxed state with the 5th highest level of debt and was ranked the 47th best state in which to do business. With yesterday's vote, these "essential" services will either be cut, there will be layoffs or taxes will have to increase. Now why exactly would I build a business in Ohio?

These increasing Government Union expenses have to be paid for by the Taxpayers. So these Ohio Voters who voted this way have only hurt themselves in the end. Public Unions only care about Public Unions. The rest of Ohio's Citizens will now have to suffer. People need to wake up and realize that Government Unions are just bad for the country.

Dumbass left wingers just dont get the math do they. Ohio voters voted to bring back collective bargaining rights for public sector unions.

Its known that Ohio governments simply cant afford the status quo. But, the law is now the law, and unions are gonna always demand more, and refuse to sacrifice for the greater good. So........which is first:

1- Layoffs for firemen, cops, teachers. Gotta make payroll and budget. Time to trim some fat.

and/or

2- Raise taxes on companies and individuals. Which will cause business to leave Ohio for non-union states like South Carolina, which is rapidly attracting business like Google, Boeing, BMW, etc, due to non-union labor, low taxes.

So either way, Ohio loses jobs.

Good job libtards.

So Ohio gets union rights back; What next? Layoffs or tax hikes?

Massive blowback from the 2010 elections. It appears the over reaching of the neo cons and tea baggers will not go unrewarded.
