on a one way cul-de-sac
COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina debated seceding from the Union more than 150 years ago, one of the opening salvos of the Civil War. Now, the topic has come up again, amid a national debate over firearms and gun rights.

A trio of state House Republicans on Thursday quietly introduced a bill that would allow lawmakers to debate seceding from the U.S. “if the federal government confiscates legally purchased firearms in this State.”

another case of the blind leading the stupid

From my cold dead hands....

What a bunch of morons

Okay. But we don't run away and quit. We change the government. That's how it works.

No you don't. You simply think that conversation and voting will change things.

Most of us know better. We've seen 150+ years of the Federal Government ignoring the US Consitution and usurping State and Individual power. Democrat, Republican, etc... makes no difference.

Actually SC was making noises about secession at least as far back as 1828, over the "Tariff of Abominations" as it was popularly called, that threatened to favor New England over the South.

North Carolina is working on a joint project with Georgia to just saw it off at the border and push it out to the Bermuda Triangle where it prolly came from.

"Tariff of Abominations" of 1828 is not to be confused with the Tariff of A-bombing Nations of 2018....

Just a couple of rednecks posturing for their base

Youse libtard morons were cheering the California idiots! What? Ewe don’t think refusing to follow Federal Immigration law is a form of secession?
