Sick and tired of reference to "OBAMAGAS" being cheaper!

So you support fracking?

So you support Obama?
No, do you support fracking?
No, do you support Obama?
I said no. But fracking is the reason gas prices are low. So you and obama are not the reason gas prices are low.

Sure we are. We voted him in. And presto…Bush’s $4.50 gas became Obama’s $1.72 gas. Thanks once again Mr. President.

Average cost of gas on Obama's first day in office was $1.90 a gallon. Average price today $2.14. Even with fracking helping Obama still can't do as good as Bush. You failed again! Lol

anyone with half a brain knows the president has zero control over gas prices..........:deal:

Of course Obama has control over gas prices....Republicans campaigned on it in 2012

Obama is the only President not to have gas under $3 a gallon.........BOOM!

$1.72 Obamagas

Oh the irony of this post Lmao

New Jersey bill set to raise state gas tax to one of nation’s highest

Hasn't happened yet dude

NJ Politicians are chickenshit, Christie is demanding a tax increase
Christie talks about cutting taxes when he is campaigning for Republican President and then jacks them up in his own state

Meanwhile....I enjoy my $1.72 Obamagas

You are aware, gas is meant to be put in car and not huff it correct?

Bush lowered his Bushgas from $4 a gallon to $1.90 a gallon in a shameless ploy to get a Republican elected....didn't work

Obamagas is such a phony misnomer that just typifies the ignorance of Obama supporters when ever they use the term.

Read below and tell me how Obama who told us and I QUOTE:
1) "I prefer higher gas prices".
2) Who told us that he wanted Brazil to develop oil and that the USA will be their best customer?
3) Encourage foreign drilling OFF Florida by Cuba
4) Encourage Canada to sell almost 1 million barrels per day to China?

But most importantly with Obama saying those above stupid ass ignorant comments, what did he
do to "encourage" USA production???

Do you know how long it takes from the time a Federal oil lease is signed to the time it actually goes into production (if oil is found!)?

DECADES!!!
" We are unable to predict a time frame for possible production of any of the volumes we mention
in our fact sheet but it is likely to be many decades.
It takes several years between the discovery of an oil field and the initial production from that field.
Time is needed for activities such as permitting, leasing, collection of additional data (e.g., 3-D seismic), drilling exploration wells, discovering oil, drilling development wells, building surface infrastructure and pipeline, etc. in the calculation of how long it might take to achieve any of the probabilities mentioned
."
USGS FAQs - Bakken Formation - How long will it take to produce the volumes of oil and gas mentioned in the USGS report in the Bakken Formation?
HEY DUMMIES!!!! read the first two sentences AGAIN!!! "many decades" "several years between discovery and production"!!!
The total number of oil and gas drilling leases issued in 2013 reached a nearly three-decade lows, according to the Bureau of Land Management.
The bureau says it issued 1,468 drilling leases last year, totaling 1.17 million acres of federal land — the lowest figures since 1988,
which is the oldest year for which the BLM has data.

When it comes to actually approving drilling permits in 2013, the Obama administration approved the lowest number since 2002 — only 3,770 drilling permits.
This is down from 6,617 drilling permits that were approved in 2008, the last year of the Bush administration.
Obama admin. leases the lowest amount of federal land in 25 years

The reality is the lower gas prices came because GWB signed more drilling permits, encouraged the country's oil companies to do more exploration and therefore
increased production which in turn lowered the cost BY INCREASING THE SUPPLY of national production!
Today thanks to GWB

According to Rystad’s analysis includes oil in proven, existing fields, oil that has been discovered and will probably be recoverable, as well as an estimate for recoverable oil in as-yet discovered oil fields. More than 50% of the United States oil reserves come in the form of “unconventional shale oil,” with Texas alone containing 60 million barrels of this type of fossil fuel. America Now Leads the World In This Surprising Category

So DUMMIES....
A) Obama never wanted lower gas prices... remember HE PREFERRED HIGHER GAS Prices!
B) Obama signed the fewest Federal oil leases the only true direct way a President can affect oil supply
and then that won't happen for DECADES!!! So guess what? You ignorant people we'll see higher
gas prices thanks to Obama!

I'm sick and tired of Dems giving Obama CREDIT for lowering gas prices -- without whining about how he's "in the pocket of big oil".. Or how his buddies at Exxon are just making him look good..

Kinda just like THIS post just did....

Still waiting on that quote where Obama said, "I prefer high gas prices."

No but obama repeatedly said we couldn't drill more for lower oil prices

I should start a pool for when healthmyths will make his bogus claim that Obama said, "I prefer higher gas prices" again.

Obama has reduced the price of gas to where hard working Americans like me can afford it.

Thanks Mr. President.
In the US, we mandated the fleet mileage, in other nations, they simply raised the price by high taxes on fuel. Now both achieved the same thing, a very sharp reduction in prices as supply increased because people were not using the fuel they used to. So, which do you prefer? Are you saying that you are for those regulations? Would you prefer the higher taxes? LOL

Come on, 'Conservatives', make your preferances known. Regulations or taxes. The policies of this administration has resulted in lower gas prices. And, as the EV's become more common, will lower prices even more. The future is tomorrow.

What the hell you babbling about you old goat, this was all Saudi Arbias doing because of their hatred of iran and they hurt the American cracking industry in the process.

Read below and tell me how Obama who told us and I QUOTE:
1) "I prefer higher gas prices".
Please link to the quote. Thanks.

Harwood: So could these high prices help us?

Obama: I think that I would have preferred a gradual adjustment. The fact that this is such a shock to American pocketbooks is not a good thing. But if we take some steps right now to help people make the adjustment, first of all by putting more money into their pockets, but also by encouraging the market to adapt to these new circumstances more quickly, particularly US automakers, then I think ultimately, we can come out of this stronger and have a more efficient energy policy than we do right now.
Obama Wanted Higher Gasoline Prices?

So is a "gradual adjustment" UP not the same as preferring higher gas prices????

BZZZZZZT! Time's up!

Press Conference by the President

Q Thank you, Mr. President. I wanted to follow up on Israel and Iran because you have said repeatedly you have Israel’s back. And so I wonder why, three years in office, you have not visited Israel as President. And related to Iran and Israel, you have expressed concern about this loose talk of war, as you call it, driving up gas prices further. Your critics will say on Capitol Hill that you want gas prices to go higher because you have said before, that will wean the American people off fossil fuels, onto renewable fuels. How do you respond to that?

THE PRESIDENT: Ed, just from a political perspective, do you think the President of the United States going into reelection wants gas prices to go up higher? (Laughter.) Is that -- is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense?

Look, here’s the bottom line with respect to gas prices. I want gas prices lower because they hurt families; because I meet folks every day who have to drive a long way to get to work and them filling up this gas tank gets more and more painful, and it’s a tax out of their pocketbooks, out of their paychecks, and a lot of folks are already operating on the margins right now.

And it's not good for the overall economy, because when gas prices go up, consumer spending oftentimes pulls back. And we're in the midst right now of a recovery that is starting to build up steam, and we don’t want to reverse it.

Here is where he preferred higher gas prices!

If President Obama doesn't control the price of Obamagas, then who does?

Why do you think they call it Obamagas?

If President Obama doesn't control the price of Obamagas, then who does?

Why do you think they call it Obamagas?

NO you call it Obamagas.
And the ONLY ONLY way any president has a DIRECT impact on the price of gas is in this way:
Drilling permits on Federal lands.
NOW think just for one second. If GWB approved MORE leases during the YEARS before Obama... AND it takes years for exploration to production...
HOW in the hell then can OBAMA have any credit for lower gas prices... IF during HIS term he's signed FEWER LEASES?

This is the ONLY direct method of impacting gas prices.
Of course the problem is people like you don't seem to comprehend these minor details!!!

Silly, silly child

President Obama has been able to control the price of gas since he was a young child growing up in Kenya
