The democrats would be wise to become the party of the middle and finding a way for the poor to become that.

Shit, even Russia invests in infrastructure, science, r&d and education. Socially maybe but fiscally I wouldn't go that far. Nothing besides maybe Prime minister Abbot of the land down under even comes close. The conservatives want to do away with educational funding instead of putting forward a workable plan....Me, I'd look at 5 or 10 systems that are better and choose the best one. They just won't! Their plan is home schooling....LOL! And forcing everyone to go to a private school. Well, you better be rich!

Debt? The real cause of that is healthcare, medicare disfunction and the military. Yet, they want to slash infrastructure, science, r&d and education to the bone instead. So they'd destroy our ability to compete in the world over fixing the real problems.

It's upsetting that the Democrats being the party that did away with NASA was largely ignored by the media. I grew up during the 1980's. Chucking NASA was about the most unamerican action by this administration. I remember how much we loved space exploration and our space program, how it excited and energized our imaginations. How it goes away with hardly a wimper is beyond me.
