The current interglacial period is 2C cooler with 26 ft shallower seas than previous interglacials. So our present climate is quite normal.
Presenting the present climate as unusual is an artifact of the data you are choosing to show. Using ice core data that does not smooth the climate fluctuations shows the recent warming trend is not unusual. D-O events show the present warming trend is not unusual.
