Ok two different questions... Is it right that you get fired? no. Should the employer have the legal right to fire you? Maybe, thats very tricky.

To put in specifics, imagine your employer is Jewish, and discovers that you are a secret neo nazi who celebrates the holocaust as a good idea. No matter how much you hide your views at work I would not think it would be reasonable to force your employer to keep you employed.

So in general no it isn't right to do, but it should be permissible.

In all honesty, it's a pipe dream. And for the time being I think that both liberals and conservatives alike have let the horse bolt by implementing the incentives they promised the unemployed voting pool during their respectives election campaigns and terms of office. Also, due to the rapidly expanding population that followed the inception of the welfare state, the beast has become too complex to police fairly and efficiently.

Like a lot of the politically minded/aware, I often torment myself by speculating over various solutions to problems beyond my control, but the problem is that the bigger picture expands with every step you take.
