Should (potential) Representatives be restricted to donations within their district?

I think this would be a good start. I never got the point of reps who recieve millions of dollars of outside funding. Seems counter to the whole idea of a representative...

No. We have freedom of speech under the First Amendment. Not allowing someone to donate funds or support to a candidate outside their district would be unconstitutional.

I never really bought into the $$ == speech argument, although with media giants today and the clash of FoS when going against them, it may be a useful legal fiction :/
