Shocking number of young Americans say other countries are better

That is what we have now. Tariffs are not free market. Bail outs are not free market. Trade deals are not free market. The Federal Reserve is not free market.

So, no Trade deals with other countries? Isolationism doesn't work.

The Fed does need to be reformed IMHO, but are you saying that you would just do away with it? How about the Stock Market? Do away with that too?

You can try and justify all of this any way you want, but it is not a free market. Quit trying to pretend that is what you are arguing for.

The stock market can exist as it was originally intended to exist but no longer does.

And how was that?

It was supposed to work by people investing in business and growing those businesses.

Now it's all about the Fed keeping the bubbles inflated.

I'm no genius, I'll admit it, but I'm pretty sure that the Fed, has nothing to do with the stock market....Your first sentence is exactly how it works, although simplisticly....

Lol...right. lol

It's just a poll...Gheeze....Something to discuss....Whether or not you put any stock in the poll itself, if you've been out anywhere over the past couple of years, and talked to any young person (college age) about what they lean toward as their vision of America as they become the ones controlling the levers of power in this country, many idealize notions like Socialism as benevelant, and proper....That, as someone who is aging, scares the hell out of me.

But it's not presented as just a poll. It's presented as an absurd accusation, dumb ass. Nasty right wing accusations and hyperbole have become so common till it's just the natural thing for you to do, and you don't even recognize you are doing it. Fuck that and fuck you.

Fuck me? What a strange response....All I am doing here is trying to have a conversation, if that upsets you maybe you should try something easier....

Most don't try to start a civil conversation with an absurd hyperbolic accusation as you did. It's a great way to start an argument though.

And what was the "Hyperbolic accusation" you say I made? Be sure to quote ME as saying it...

If you are incapable of understanding your own OP, I can't help you.

Oh, so you can't show me your claim that I made some 'hyperbolic accusation', so you accuse me with your own hyperbolic accusation....meh...

Good comeback....:21:

People really should travel and experience the world before making statements like that one way or the other. I see people who bash the US who have NO idea how good they have it, compared to much of the world, because they've never traveled. Then you have the people who say "Murica is #1!!!" who have never traveled either, maybe only to Mexico. The latter group also seems to think our government can do no wrong, as long as they have the correct letter by their name. The problem with that mindset is that it allows the government to get away with everything under the sun, because people are so caught up in the "our team vs your team" mindset.
You can't get a grasp on other places until you spend quite a bit of time there. Where ever that is. You also see from the outside in.

True, but there are few more pretentious statements than “you need to travel!”

Yes, I agree that living overseas is a better way to learn about and understand other cultures. I guess I should've been more clear, but I was including that. (that's kind of what I meant by "experience the world.")

Gotcha. Some people never get out of their neighborhood, which is a shame.

Why do you automatically assume they are wrong?
They all talk, but none leave.
Yeah they're all like those whiny democrats who keep saying they are going to move to Canada every time a republican president is elected

I remember a time when the republican party was respectable and put up reliable candidates. No one needed to move anywhere outside the U.S. Now it is a party composed only of white trash.

So now its time for you to move.
Bye bye.

Directing you to your own OP is hardly hyperbolic

Directing me to the OP when I asked you to be specific in what offended you is a dodge, and makes me think you just wanted to type "fuck"....Did you giggle?

You never comment without subtracting from the sum total of human knowledge and decency. I should have put you on Ignore months ago. Never do I wish to read another of your worthless, inane utterances.

What is "a grasp on other places"? I have traveled probably more extensively than anyone else reading this. I have this "grasp" you speak of and I can assure everyone that you can learn more from reading books, papers, history and newspapers than you can from taking tours and eating in foreign restaurants. Yes you meet people who speak strange languages. You can do that in any city in the United States and save lots of money. The divergence of opinion overseas is almost as great as it is here, but the Democrat Party is working very hard to make these the most DISUNITED States ever in history. It's really despicable and cowardly of them.

Remember the 70's when it was pretty common knowledge that
American cars were junk, and at the same time Japan was allowed to import a bunch of cheap, well-built cars
starting with Hondas, Datsuns (Nissan) and Toyotas ? I do and I've owned a Datsun , 2 Honda's & 3 Toyota's....all great cars including the CRV I'm driving now.

I have an F-150 for working on the side. And the wife drives the badass Buick Encore .

No way. This is my nation. There is no need for me to leave when some political party prostitutes itself. If you don't like the fact that this nation belongs to all of us, feel free to ship out.
