Golly, putting fish over the life of humans.....what a superb jester, as your people dehydrate....rather thin out the ABNORMALS that live there than thin out the fish population which they can't catch or eat by regulations!

For months, San Francisco, a hotbed of anti-Donald Trump sentiment, has found itself in the awkward position of being aligned with his administration over California water policy.

On Tuesday, the city's leaders said the alliance was unbearable.

In an 11-0 vote, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors agreed in a resolution to support the State Water Resources Control Board's proposal to leave more water in the San Joaquin River and its tributaries to benefit struggling fish populations. The supervisors' vote is subject to veto by Mayor London Breed, although the board could override the veto.

The vote splits the city from the Trump administration and instead moves its support to a state plan that its utilities commission warns could lead to severe drinking water shortages for its nearly 884,000 residents.

The resolution explicitly says the city must divorce itself from the Trump administration and its congressional allies such as Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Turlock, who's branded the state plan a "water grab." The Trump administration has vowed to sue the state if the so-called Bay-Delta plan goes forward, saying it would interfere with the operation of key reservoirs owned by the federal government in the San Joaquin Valley.

"Under the cloud of climate change denial and anti-science populism, the debate around the Bay-Delta Plan has transcended the realm of rational, environmental discourse toward a political and populist, anti-conservation rally cry, fueled by the strategic lobbying of a federal Republican administration aiming to destabilize California's status as a Democratic stronghold," the resolution says.

As if San Francisco needs less water for washing up.

It takes a lot of water to wash all the bum poop off the sidewalks.

Fortunately San Francisco doesn't bother with that.

BIG FARMA has continued to use open air sprinklers to irrigate crops in the Central Valley, from east of the Bay Area along hwy 5 and 99 to Bakersfield and Grapevine, a distance of over 300 miles.

Temperatures during the late spring, summer and half of the fall run up to 100 degree and the water taken from the San Joaquin River and its tributaries has left the one mighty San Joaquin bone dry in spots.

Salmon and sea going trout are no longer spawning and this impacts the entire ecology of the Bay and Delta.

Crops can be watered by a drip system, which is costly to install, and for decades drip systems have proved to be more effective, more ecological and require much less water to produce a plentiful and healthy crop yield.

if this goes bad how are they going to defend it?

Let them dehydrate. Show them that in a socialist, liberal world, only the rich and the foreigner will fill their glass.

Let who dehydrate? An, what makes you think ... err ... believe socialism and liberalism are one and the same?

The Political agenda of the Democratic Party makes me believe that Liberalism and Socialism, and progressivism are all the same ISM . Oh yeah I forgot Nazism. Go spew your propaganda on people who want to believe in Utopia. Have you read the Communist Manifesto. You uneducated turd! Read it and you will believe too.

Well since most of California is watered by the Colorado river, The govt should cut off that water supply too. California would go to seed and return to the Virtual desert it was before. Without irrigation Southern California is pretty much uninhabitable welcome to Socialism SF

Seems what you assert and believe tells me you have never taken nor passed Poli Sci 102.

Republicans always trying to pick on the richest, by far, state in the nation.
Even though nearly all Red States are economic basket cases needing money from California to simply survive.
That's because Confederate Conservative economic policies are major failures.

What a superb idea. Help the fish and wildlife. Let the people of San Francisco drink each other's piss.

Why do you go out of your way to prove how ignorant and foolish you are? Do you want attention, and don't care what form that attention takes? Sad.

SF and the Peninsula get their drinking water from Hetch Hetchy Resorvoir fed by the same snow melt which created the Great Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers. The Sacramento River system remains a viable source for water to the East Bay, and other of the Nine Bay Counties.

Then there is no reason for the asinine city action.

Disease should take that city the way it is taking Los Angeles.
