Events seem to back up Cruz's claim that McConnell lied to him.

McConnell went out of his way to break a filibuster on the last possible bill remaining to which an amendment reviving the Ex-Im bank could be attached. Now why would someone who has openly opposed the Ex-Im bank do that unless he had made a deal with Senators who are pro Ex-Im bank? The very same Senators who had blocked TPA and then suddenly reversed their votes after making some kind of deal on the floor. When asked if the deal they made was related to the Ex-Im bank, McConnell denied it.

I think it might very well be a public warning that they are going to go back to not playing ball if they cannot trust their leadership. The fact is that congress works off of deal making and deal making does not work when the parties involved do not have any integrity. That is just a fact.

During Primary Season, they pretend to be Conservatives and then after getting reelected they show they are really Big Government Progressive Republicans. The political cartel needs to be busted. I'd like to think that Cruz and company have figured out that we shouldn't have trade policies to begin with, because we shouldn't be trading with companies outside this country.
