That's not "pessimistic" at all. That's just plain reality. That's why this election was so important. Neil Gorsuch (and hopefully at least two more President Trump appointees) are going to protect us from those animals on the left.

The travel ban isn't extreme enough, not by a long shot. It's already been watered down a few times to appease the fanatics on the left. I think we on the right need to adopt a more...er...radical...posture unless we want this country to end up like Germany.

Yes, but aren't we on the right path at least? I think it's a huge win and puts these Commie judges who stopped Trump in their Fn place. Now they can look like assholes and it will give other Commie judges something to think about before they use judicial activism in making decisions.

Moving slowly in the right direction sure. Supreme court justices are a big win that will keep scoring us points well after Trump's second term...or at least slow the leftist march towards total communism. Immigration is to benefit the country receiving the immigrants, to populate itself and establish a functioning society.
When that is achieved then the country rightly becomes more selective as to what and who better benefits the country.
Immigration is not some maudlin half ass public relations campaign about "come here and we will take care of you" That would be less selective and not a service to the country.
