President Trump always said if Mexico doesn’t help pay for the wall, we’d enact other measures to make them pay one way or another. Tariffs on imports from them and rewarding companies that move manufacturing jobs from Mexico back to the US is a great way of doing that.

They will lose jobs and their economy will suffer for it. We will no longer let them leech wealth off of us, especially if they don’t respect our border.

Trump's budget proposal requests $2.6 billion for the wall, not $1.6. Has Schumer just not read Trump's budget?

If Schumer really has withdrawn his offer of wall funding, that is not a good sign at all and does not bode well for the prospects of reaching a bipartisan agreement. Sheesh, in 2006, Democrats voted for a double-fenced wall and a huge increase in border patrol agents.
