It is possible that the very things that forged the foundation of America be the same things bring its demise, but the alternative is worse. We become America in name only. Once freedoms are given up, they do not come back, that is the nature of government.
The goal of any terrorist organization is to get their target to change their way of life, if they can do that, they have won. That is why AQ counted 9/11 as a win, it changed our way of life. We accepted being treated like criminals just to get on an airplane, we allowed our government the power to spy on its own citizens, nobody complained when the executive branch was given the power to detain anyone indefinitely, including citizens, without charge or legal representation.
How much more do you want to give away? How much freedom are you willing to part with to rid the country of the evil brown and black people?
