I made it quite clear that when she was chosen and announced, the alternative to Obama was losing...and fading....and she came on the scene at a moment of weakness for all those that saw Obama as not a good thing for our country...

She was a governor we never heard of; had very high approval ratings; charismatic; attractive.....so she was the great white hope AT THAT TIME.

All she is now to people like me is something I love to watch the liberals use to express their fear....it is quite humorous.

Carter means nothing to me so I do not discuss what a boob he is. I am not afraid of him nor do I care about him.

Yet Palin seems to scare many liberals...and some of us conservatives love to taunt them with her.

I saw Sarah Palin on the O’Reilly Factor and I am convinced that she is the best candidate to run against Obama and Obama-care. She is the only prospective candidate that is a real conservative and the only one that can solidly run against Obama-care. If anyone can beat Obama it is Sarah Palin and no some middle of the road moderate. Conservatives will spend the better part of the decade trying to erase and defeat Obama-care. I pray they will be successful. Mitt Romney’s 2012 candidacy died today and he knows it.

The Republican strategy is now and forever running against socialism and Obama-care and not embracing it. We do not need a republican that enabled the model for Obama-care and championed it, while he was Governor of Massachusetts. The Republicans must beat Obama-care in court and at the state level and take the White House. They do not do this by agreeing with Obama and the leftists on socialized medicine.

Sarah Palin has been a strong critic of Obama-care and will absolutely run against it with no apologies. The Republican party must remain a conservative party and not a liberal party. The Republicans must succeed where the “so called” conservatives in Britain and Canada failed and end national health-care! I think we can win this war and I hope we have real conservatives willing to fight it and not lousy RINOS willing to go along with it. That is why Sarah Palin should be the nominee!

I totally disagree with you. The idea that to win you have to disagree with everything about the opponent and must tear them down on every level to prove it is the thought process of a loser.

A more tempered, realistic strategy will win 2012.

Americans are getting fed up with the negative partisan politics. The candidate who says they can do a better job than the opponent and differentiate themselves by reason not like they are on the Jerry Springer show will win.

Jake, while you are entirely and completely correct, do you actually think anyone will listen to you? Palin will draw the extreme right wing of the party in, while sacraficing the rest of the party at the alter of party loyalty.

As a candidate, Palin would (and she has a history of doing this) more than likely quitting when it got to hard or tough or she just plain got fed up and wanted to go home. She would leave the party broken, the base jilted and those who voted for her hanging in breeze.
