Russian meddling is NOT NEW!! Why the big deal today...Trump was elected!

Just proves it's impossible to get an actual argument out of Mac, almost ever.
I couldn't have been more clear or specific.

I said, "This isn't about meddling or collusion. It's about the President of the United States of America throwing his own national intelligence apparatus under the bus in favor of a lying, murderous thug who has complete control over a dangerous adversary country, capitulating to him on the world stage with everyone watching."

How much more clear do you need me to be?
.

"His own".

The intelligence apparatus that bragged about making sure that Trump is never going to be a president.

You can't possibly be this dim...
Ah. So he threw his own national intelligence apparatus under the bus in favor of a lying, murderous thug who has complete control over a dangerous adversary country, capitulating to him on the world stage with everyone watching, because it's corrupt?

Is that your argument?
.

It's not merely corrupt, it has been treasonous against Trump. And treasonous against American people...

When's the last time thousands of Americans had to die because Russia fabricated evidence regarding weapons of mass destruction?

Trump didn't side with the Russians, he sided with the evidence. Because he has a brain.

Okay, thanks for pointing that out. His behavior yesterday may be making more sense now.

Right after spitting in the face of our European allies.

This isn't about what happened years ago or decades ago. Trying to deflect away from what happened yesterday isn't going to work.
.

When he has reason to believe said apparatus is no longer apolitical and seeks his removal from office, what is he supposed to do, bend over and spread'em?

When he knows our European "allies" hate his guts, he's supposed to take their bullshit? (and it's not all our european allies, its the feckless western ones. The ones out East remember actual tyranny and oppression, not the fake oppression the left is currently bitching about)

What happened yesterday was nothing. Stop trying to make it something.

It actually makes sense now, as of a post to me a few minutes ago.

Started a thread on it, and you just confirmed it with your post: The reason Trump did what he did at the press conference with Putin
.

That's reading into it a bit much. Again, his statement was a response to a loaded question that basically stated the Russian "meddling" is what won him the election.

His mistrust of the government bureaucracy is separate but still warranted.

Over the course of 11 presidential elections between the end of World War II and the fall of the Soviet Union, we identified three secret attempts to influence an election.

• 1960: Through his ambassador to the United States, Mikhail Menshikov, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev offered Adlai Stevenson help from a secret propaganda campaign. However, Stevenson declined the offer. He lost in the Democratic primary to John F. Kennedy.

• 1968: The Soviet Union’s ambassador to the U.S., Anatoly Dobrynin, offered to secretly fund Hubert Humphrey’s campaign against Richard Nixon. Humphrey declined the bribe.

• 1976: Fearing that anti-communist Democrat Henry "Scoop" Jackson stood a good chance at winning in the wake of Nixon’s resignation, the KGB began a smear campaign.
Soviet spies forged FBI paperwork to make it appear Jackson was secretly gay and sent the fake reports to newspapers around the United States during the election and for years after.

A brief history of Russian meddling in US elections
Well it might be a big deal because in your first 2 examples the people involved declined the help and in your third no actual American help was used .
In this case when offered help people in the Trump campaign replied with. "I love it". Not to mention that the FACT that the current president even now still publicly casts doubt it ever happened at all. I don't know, but to me that's a world of difference.

Right... But it IS NOT new! And is there ANY proof that Trump accepted Russia's help?
We know that Hillary's campaign did and that members of the FBI worked on the material that would have helped Hillary...i.e. the Trump Dossier was investigated by
a deputy DOJ who's wife worked for the company that provided the Dossier!
So please explain that.

WASHINGTON – It turns out Donald Trump wasn’t the only candidate the Russians allegedly tried to help during the 2016 presidential campaign.

A 37-page indictment resulting from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation shows that Russian nationals and businesses also worked to boost the campaigns of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Green party nominee Jill Stein in an effort to damage Democrat Hillary Clinton.

The Russians “engaged in operations primarily intended to communicate derogatory information about Hillary Clinton, to denigrate other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and to support Bernie Sanders and then-candidate Donald Trump,” according to the indictment, which was issued Friday.

Indictment: Russians also tried to help Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein presidential campaigns
You asked the question "what's the difference", a question I answered and, all the other stuff you brought up just deflects from. I'll be a good sport and answer some.
What proof? Well we know people in the Trump campaign openly sought or were receptive to Russian government help, including his son. We know Trump purposely misrepresented what his son's meeting was about. This is not conjecture because the relevant email chain was released. We know Trump during the campaign OPENLY asked Russia for help. What we don't know if any of that is deemed illegal by the justice department, or for that matter what other information they are privy to and we are not. So that question is something I can not honestly answer because I don't have all information nor am I a lawyer. Even more chances are that even if Mueller deems any actions by Trump illegal it will be congress who has the final say in what happens after that. Undoubtedly you and people like you will then frame it in the light of a victory for the way the constitution is supposed to work. In reality it will be a simple admission that you feel that the law isn't applicable to Trump.

OK... let me ask you a simple question.

Given the below chart... do you think the below countries national defense forces will be strengthened or weakened when it comes time to thwart a possible Russian invasion?
Because what Trump was bringing to THE WORLD's attention was by encouraging these NATO member countries to spend more on national defense (and by the way... I'm sure you are confused but this chart is for NATO countries that spend money NOT on NATO...BUT THEIR OWN NATIONAL DEFENSE!!!) and in doing so would they not make it more difficult for Russia to invade these countries?

Just asking because I think you maybe believing the biased MSM and not figure out on your own what Trump's successes were on this of his most current world leaders' trips!

Well lookee here??

Now who spends the most?

And who spends nothing and expects protection??

Interesting how Democrat Fake News conveniently doesn't report that their Hitlery paid the Brits and Russians to influence our Election. It never happened as far as they're concerned. The OP is Spot On. If Hitlery had won, you can bet Democrats wouldn't even be talking about this.

The plan was for her and Obama to set Trump up and make sure he didn't win. But they failed. And that's why you're seeing their daily hissy-fits. They can't believe he won. So if you can't win at the Ballot Box, just try and take him out by all other means possible. It's just another scam. It is what it is.

Ted Kennedy's Secret Appeal to Russia to Hurt Reagan
https://www.dailysignal.com/.../ted-kennedy-made-secret-overtures-to-russia-to-preve...
Dec 14, 2016 -
Sen. Edward “Ted” Kennedy had “selfish political and ideological motives” when he made secret overtures to the Soviet Union’s spy agency during the Cold War to thwart then-President Ronald Reagan’s re-election, a Reagan biographer said in an interview with The Daily Signal.

When they came to light years later, Kennedy’s secret contacts with the Russians through their KGB spy agency in the early 1980s didn’t cause nearly the tizzy that Russia’s alleged interference with this year’s election has for President-elect Donald Trump among liberal activists and reporters.
