FBI Director James Comey says that Russia is the "greatest threat of any nation on Earth, given their intent and capability."

Mr Comey made the comments during a Senate hearing in which he discussed the ongoing investigation into Russian influence on the 2016 US election. The top FBI official told senators that Russians have been meddling in American politics and that they have continued to do so recently.

"One of the biggest lessons learned is that Russia will do this again. Because of 2016 election, they know it worked," Mr Comey said of the threat that Russia might try to influence future elections.

I can't believe their main worry is future elections. The catastrophe of the previous one is still a baby.

Comey was a sad figure yesterday calling out wikileaks as intelligence porn when he did the same thing a few days before the election. He should be replaced, he obviously fails to see his own part in fake news.

There was enough evidence to recommend charges for the Dem's corrupt candidate but it was too big a hot potato for Comey so he let it slide with the 'no intent' bullshit. That isn't how laws work. But I can't blame him, he likely would have expired soon.

Did he explain why Putin wanted the US to increase our military? I don't buy the narrative.

I think he should have revealed the investigation ongoing between alleged collusion of Russians with the Trump campaign as well, and let the American voter decide.

A great increase would be dislikaleble and isn't going to happen when Trump takes the whole country to bankruptcy.

A small increase means nothing as Putin has no intention in the coming years of going to war with US directly.
