Russia Pushs the Boundaries With a Precision Attack.

You're not up to date with the latest. You should be, even if you believe it's not true.

Air craft carriers were built during the Cold war for the purpose of American aggression, mostly against ME countries. They were never meant for an invasion of Russia or China.

Russia's and China's hypersonic missiles have ballistic missile capability as well as anything a cruise missile can be used for, but much more deadly.

Today's and tomorrow's warfare will be almost entirely economic.

America's proxy war against Russia has failed militarily. And America's economic efforts against Russia are showing no signs of success.
Actually the first U.S carriers were built decades BEFORE the Cold War began.

Whoever it is, it's arguable. The class will decide.
America has needed aircraft carriers to facilitate its wars in foreign lands for decades. There's never been a time when they weren't needed.

The question is, are they vulnerable to hypersonic missiles?

At least we're having a discussion! America's success against Japan's carriers was the best indication to date.

Rightly or wrongly, both Russia and China have concentrated their defense on the need to eliminate them early in a war against America.

I suspect that finding an answer will be avoided as carefully as is nuclear war.
