Actually watching Michelle Obama speak the other night would remind anyone of how Republicans used to speak. Meaningful, with integrity & decency.



You'll note that Ronald Reagan nor George Bush ever brought up social issues, abortion/gay rights, much less campaigned on them. These type of issues were avoided on a political platform, because they knew they were U.S. Supreme court issues, and not something they could do anything about. Therefore they only focused on government issues, things that they could do something about.

The Reich wing has crushed the party by campaigning on social issues. Then they headed into immigration issues, in a very nasty mean manner dividing American Latino's from white citizens. As G.W. Bush stated, he fears he will be the last Republican President--and seeing what we're seeing today, (all this hate and visceral) he may very well be right.

The Republican party is no longer the party of Lincoln or Reagan. If these two former Presidents were alive today, they would be disgusted with this party.

He had planned to cover the Dem convention but Trump put such a beating on Hillary and Obama he pivoted on the fly. Its not often that someone gets Rush laughing that hard, Trump had him in stitches by getting right in the Democrats face and the press.

No GOP candidate in the last 50 years had balls big enough to do what Trump did today, get right into the lefts face and blast them. Embarrass them. Call them out. While dishing out a beating to the press while he was at it. Its clear Governor Christie has given Trump some tips on handling the press.

Here's the thing, Trump has no fear of Democrats, no fear of PC, and no fear of the press. A balance, (not an enemy) but a balance to the Democrat party, as in the days of old when Republicans & Democrats would actually work together. A foundation made out of mutual respect, but different ideas that comes together to get the best solution for all.

That's the way it used to be--but not anymore.
