Ruh Roh.....D.O.J. Find Christopher Steele

Steele made most of it up and has said so, That is what they find compelling and they want to hear more about how this bogus document was used to launch a coup against the duly elected President.

For those TDS sufferers whose news services have BURIED this whole story -- Steele has been backtracking on the dossier since he was hauled into court for libel in the UK by one of the Russians mentioned... Faced with libel lawsuit, dossier drafter Christopher Steele hedges on linking Trump to Russia

Christopher Steele, the former British spy who fueled an ongoing investigation into President Trump’s administration, was a lot more confident of his charges when he wrote his now-notorious 2016 dossier than he is today in defending it in a libel lawsuit.

While Mr. Steele stated matter-of-factly in his dossier that collusion between Mr. Trump and the Russian government took place, he called it only “possible” months later in court filings. While he confidently referred to “trusted” sources inside the Kremlin, in court he referred to the dossier’s “limited intelligence.”

Now that Mr. Steele must defend those charges in a London courtroom, his confidence level has shifted down several notches.

In court filings this year, Mr. Steele doesn’t sound as confident as his dossier.

He answered questions through his attorney in a libel complaint brought by a Russian entrepreneur, Aleksej Gubarev. Mr. Steele has accused Mr. Gubarev of being pressured by Russian’s FSB intelligence service to take part in hacking against the Democratic Party.

In one answer, Mr. Steele refers to the intelligence he gathered as “limited.” On the charge of collusion by Mr. Trump and his campaign advisers, he now says there was only “possible coordination.”

In another indication that Mr. Steele was no longer wholeheartedly vouching for his own findings, he said he told journalists that they may not quote his research. He “understood that the information provided might be used for the purpose of further research, but would not be published or attributed,” he said through his attorney.

Mr. Steele also acknowledged that his final December memo, the only one that dealt with Mr. Gubarev, contained information he never vetted. He added, “Such intelligence was not actively sought; it was merely received.” The unverified “raw intelligence” included Mr. Cohen reported trip to Prague.

Virtually all of the credibility of the so-called Steele dossier — and the Trump-Russia collusion narrative and investigations it spawned — hinges on Christopher Steele’s vaunted reputation as a former British intelligence agent who spied on Moscow and still maintains a network of sources inside the Kremlin.

But now we are finding out from newly released transcripts that he never even set foot inside Russia to compile his dossier, and that he relied instead on an ex-journalist-turned-p.r. consultant to do much of his investigating there. In fact, this non-intelligence figure may be his main “Russian source” of information.

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-South Carolina) asked Steele’s Clinton-paid handler Glenn Simpson, during the House Intelligence Committee’s Nov. 14 closed-door hearing, if Steele had gone “to Russia as part of this project,” to which Simpson replied, “No, sir.” Steele, at the time he compiled the dossier, hadn’t been back to Russia in 17 years.

So, Gowdy pressed, “How was he able to accumulate information in Russia if he didn’t go?” Simpson claimed that Steele ran a “network of subsources or subcontractors” who traveled around Russia and gathered information for him.

But it turns out the primary subcontractor worked not for Steele but for Simpson at Washington-based Fusion GPS, and he contributed key material for the investigation of Trump underwritten by the Clinton campaign. His name is Edward Baumgartner, a British national who speaks fluent Russian and runs a p.r. shop out of London (and who spent 2016 tweeting his forceful opposition to Trump’s candidacy).

While Baumgartner was working on the dossier, he was also working for Simpson on another case to smear an anti-Putin whistleblower in an effort to help Putin-tied company Prevezon defend itself against US charges of money laundering.

During that contract, which ran through October 2016, Baumgartner worked closely in Moscow with the Russian lawyer who lobbied Donald Trump Jr. at a now-infamous Trump Tower meeting in June 2016 to help lift US sanctions on Russia. Her talking points were written by Simpson, who also dealt directly with the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya.

During the case, Simpson and Baumgartner also met with her partner, former Russian military intelligence officer Rinat Akhmetshin.

Asked by intel panel staff if he verified Steele’s “sources in Russia” or corroborated their information, Simpson said he’s never been to Russia himself and couldn’t “evaluate the credibility of someone on the other side of the [Atlantic].” Nor could he confirm that Steele actually spoke directly with any of his Russian sources.

So in other words, Steele mainly lent his credentials and credibility to the "hit people" at Fusion GPS that hated Trump and actually "compiled" the pile of dog shit that is the "Steele Dossier"... And then helped market it and try to sell it to the media and US Intel by using complicit journalists to accept "circular reporting" on the dossier that was actually SOURCED by Steele. But the fake news folks never ACKNOWLEDGED their source for "verifying" the dossier was Steele himself..

You rabid partisans know-nothings are WAY behind on this.. Because the shit you consume for news, has totally black-out the details of the biggest political scandal of your lifetime... To protect your fragile tiny brains and feelwings... :2up:

Your link to the fake news Washington Times is over 2 years old. The link to the really dodgy NY Post is over a year and a half old.

Please try to keep up with the current lies being promulgated by the fake news media. These articles have long since been debunked and small grains of truth they may have contained, is no longer relevant or valid.

And I can source this stuff from 4 other places... You could also if you TRIED to comprehend how misled and mis-served you have been by YOUR sources that simply borked this whole story...

I wonder if you even realize that none of the dossier has been proven true?

Probably not.

Ah well. Some people baaa all the way to the trough...

I wonder if you even realize that nothing that you posted above is correct. Stupid Russian trolls:

Grading the Steele dossier 2 years later: what’s been corroborated and what's still unclear

You apparently can't read and think at the same time.. There are NO assertions of Trump/Russia collusions in the dossier that are illegal or proven.. And that's a LOT of reading thru crap that doesn't even have to do with Trump....

From your article...

The dossier said the "Russian regime had been behind the recent leak of embarrassing e-mail messages, emanating from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to the WikiLeaks platform."

True -- but NOTHING to do with Trump/Russia collusion...

In fact 80% of YOUR ARTICLE link has NOTHING TO DO with Trump/Russia collusion...

The whole mention of "moscow real estate deals" has been dealt with and put to bed.. No crimes there..

The whole matter of jerky Roger Stone and his theories -- dismissed by Mueller as not an item of concern...

In short -- your reading comprehension SUCKS wads.. Go to YOUR linked article and find me ONE SALIENT FACT about Trump/Russia collusion that has been shown to be a crime or unethical.....

So your response to requests to prove the unsubstantiated Steele dossiers is to spam a laundry list of other unsubstantiated narratives from the same liberal media outlets that let themselves be used by the Clinton campaign to smear Trump in the first place?
No, my response is to post a Wiki Summary of VERIFIED claims, each footnoted by Credible MSM sources, who themselves quote First Hand sources.

Also it quotes the Mueller Report, whose main finding WAS the same as Steele's Dossier:
The Russians interceded on behalf of Trump.

You cite NO ONE/NOTHING.
ALL Your posts are 100% empty garbage (not even counterclaims) and Dishonestly tries to deny two Dozen good Footnoted sources as mere "narratives."

Steele was grilled for 16 hours and THEY FOUND HIM CREDIBLE

The fact that Steele's testimony was considered credible does not prove the dossier (fairy tale) was credible. In fact, it proves the very opposite!

In his civil trial for defamation, defendant Steele testified UNDER OATH that nothing in the dossier was verified and none of it was ever intended to be represented as truthful. If his recent testimony is in conflict with his former testimony under oath, there is no way he could possibly be considered a credible witness.

I can assure you that there will be few, if any, questions asked about the content of the dossier. The questions will all revolve around one single issue: How did a piece of journalistic garbage paid for by the DNC become the basis for securing a FISA Court warrant to spy on the Trump campaign. Those who presented the dossier to the court as having been verified need to do some serious prison time.

CONCLUSION: Steele will not subject himself to a perjury charge by deviating from his testimony in his civil trial. Nothing he did to this point constitutes a crime and he will not place his freedom in jeopardy. He will reaffirm that nothing in the dossier was verified.

Actually over 90% of Dossier has been proven to be true.

What you say is a lie. Nothing in the Steele fairy tale (dossier) was verified. This whole Russian collusion thing started with the infamous Steele dossier.

Lol at your ignorant idioicy.

1. Foremost thesis in the Dossier is Russian interferece in America elections to aid Trump campaign - this is a well established fact. You really didn't know that?

Some of the stuff in the dossier is probably false, but to say that NOTHING was verified is a straight crazy claim a this point.

2. Russian collusion investigation DID NOT begin with Dossier, it was kicked off by Papadopolous talking about Russians having Hillary emails just a few weeks after the DNC hacking took place. Only DNC, FBI and the Russian hackers knew of this at that time.

You rightwing fools keep blaming everyone BUT the conspicous liars on Trump team who brought this on themselfs.

Nothing has been verified, moron. Steele admitted that. So did Comey.

Both claims #1 and #2 are lies.

Leave it to our very own villarge idiot Bripat to peddle these total counterfactuals.

Here's What We Know So Far About Russia's 2016 Meddling

The subject isn't Russian meddling. The subject is whether the dossier is valid. You changed the subject because you know it isn't.

Dossier said Russia was meddling against Clinton, for Trump ...duh.

How do you post fabrication like that with a straight fucking face?

Steele admitted in British court that the Dossier was unverified that it was just raw intelligence that he couldn't back up with any evidence

Nobody said that it was anything but raw intelligence. Not Steely, not FBI in the warrant application, not media that publicized it.

He will reaffirm that nothing in the dossier was verified.

But that’s not what the investigation is about.

What he will not affirm is a crazy conspiracy to somehow get Trump by planting fake, not simply raw, intelligence.

He will affirm that when he went to FBI with his findings he believed them to be very likely true and in need of investigating.

One more little tidbit for all you Trump haters who still believe that the dossier (fairy tale) was verified.

According to an article written by Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy, dated March 15, 2019, Steele admitted that much of the information in his dossier was obtained from unchecked sources on an Internet chat line. The following are excerpts from Dunleavy's article:

In the dossier, Steele, a Cambridge-educated former MI6 officer, wrote about extensive allegations against Donald Trump, associates of his campaign, various Russians and other foreign nationals, and a variety of companies — including one called Webzilla. Those allegations would become part of an FBI investigation and would be used to apply for warrants under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.”

When asked if he discovered “anything of relevance concerning Webzilla” during the verification process, Steele replied: “We did. It was an article I have got here which was posted on July 28, 2009, on something called CNN iReport.

When asked if he understood that content on the site was not generated by CNN reporters, he said, "I do not."

He was then asked: “Do you understand that they have no connection to any CNN reporters?” Steele replied, “I do not.”

He was pressed on this further: “Do you understand that CNN iReports are or were nothing more than any random individual'’ assertions on the Internet?” Steele replied: “No, I obviously presume that if it is on a CNN site that it may has some kind of CNN status. Albeit that it may be an independent person posting on the site."

When asked about his methodology for searching for this information, Steele described it as “what we could call an open source search,” which he defined as “where you go into the Internet and you access material that is available on the Internet that is of relevance or reference to the issue at hand or the person under consideration.”

Steele said his dossier contained "raw intelligence" that he admitted could contain untrue or even "deliberately false information."

Christopher Steele admitted using posts by 'random individuals' on CNN website to back up Trump dossier

Don't ever forget that Steele admitted to Ohr his feelings against then-candidate Trump when Steele said he "was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected and was passionate about him not being president." This clear evidence of Steele's bias was recorded by Ohr at the time and subsequently in official FBI files—but not reflected in any of the Page FISA applications.

The Nunes FBI Memo, Annotated

CONCLUSION: It is obvious that Steele was looking for anything which could be used against Trump. He didn't care if it was true or not. The FBI leadership used Steel's information knowing it was totally unreliable because they had a mission to keep Trump from getting elected and an insurance policy to destroy him if he did..

Rep. I'll see if i can find this "one of kind" PROOF that ANYTHING in the phony ass "Steele" dossier about Russia and Trump has been proven... Don't care if the facts EVERYONE KNEW about Russian intentions to interfere in our elections were true... It's just that I KNOW nothing in Dossier concerning Trump or Associates REGARDING RUSSIA has been determined to be a crime or EVEN true..

Veracity of specific allegations
Russian assistance to the Trump campaign
Main articles: Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections and Trump Tower meeting
A January 6, 2017, intelligence community assessment released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence(ODNI) stated that Russian leadership favored the Trump candidacy over Clinton's, and that Putin personally ordered an "influence campaign" to harm Clinton's electoral chances and "undermine public faith in the US democratic process," as well as ordering cyber attacks on the Democratic and Republican parties.[204]...

Where is the Trump Tower meeting in the dossier?? Better check again genius...

The Trump Tower meeting was another sinister brain child of Fusion GPS -- just like THEY are the principle authors of the phony as shit dossier... And why would Putin want to compromise Trump staff by setting up a phony meeting with Russians?

As far as Putin's preference goes, Russia has been attempting "undermine faith in the US democratic process" since I was serving in Intel.. And before actually, going back to the 2nd world war. This is obvious by the change of tactics of the Russian trolls once Trump was elected. THey IMMEDIATELY pivoting to setting up confrontations between Trump supporters and Hillary supporters...

NOTHING that the troll group did with a $40,000 advertising budget compares with the "undermining of faith in the US elections" that the losing leftists and the complicit media have put this country through in the past 3 years...

Putin is PROUD of you folks and salutes you...

In March 2016, George Papadopoulos, a Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, learned that the Russians had "dirt" on Clinton in the form of thousands of stolen emails. This occurred before the hacking of the DNC computers had become public knowledge.[206][207] Papadopoulos sent emails about Putin to at least seven Trump campaign officials. Trump national campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis[208] encouraged Papadopoulos to fly to Russia and meet with agents of the Russian Foreign Ministry, who reportedly wanted to share "Clinton dirt" with the Trump campaign.[209][210] When Donald Trump Jr. learned of the offer, he welcomed it by responding: "If it's what you say, I love it..."[10] Later, on June 9, 2016, a meeting in Trump Tower was held, ostensibly for representatives from Russia to deliver that dirt on Clinton.[211][212]

You are embarrassingly ill informed and way dated in your knowledge about PapaDop.... Any "dirt on Hillary" that he was aware of was PLANTED ON HIM during operation "Crossfire Hurricane" by a focused full Intel Op led out of Britain by Halper.. (Look up Operation CrossFire Hurricane) to educate yourself) .. Papadop is a VICTIM of intelligence and he's CLEARLY INNOCENT in the matter.. Which is verified by the fact that HE was not charged or assailed by Mueller.. This illegal intel op was against multiple members of the Trump campaign (look up Mifsud and Papadopolous) Even the NEW YORK fucking Times just ran an article last naming one of the femme fatales that this operation used to try to SEDUCE him and liquor him up prior to being introduced and worked over by the Aussie Ambassador (HUGE Clinton supporter) and others involved in the cabal..

No -- you get no points here.. Not EVEN gonna address the rest of this shit... And I'm not providing links because you are so woefully mis-served and misinformed by the media you use...

HOWEVER -- if you want to argue ANY of your misconceptions that I just bulldozed, we can chat...

It's DISHONEST to peddle misleading minor stats on the first set when the Match Results have been posted.

You are a Dishonest and deluded partisan, so sick, that you not only did what I said above, but who could only find two issues among the Littany of VERIFIED Dossier Claims.
UNANSWERED.

Again, worse than getting your ass kicked by Facts, your persisted in Misleading the board with RW innuendo articles even after we have an Actual detailed score card.

You should not be moderating.
You are not only not impartial, but Mislead the board because that partisanship.
(thus our 80% RW Troll issue too)

As for Your Trolling Putin Picture, that's for his mole Trump, and you Disloyal Americans who've sold out country for party/personality cult.

You need to stfu and admit you know NOTHING about Carter Page, George Papadopolous, Glenn Simpson and all the characters involved...

IF IF IF you CARE to understand how YOUR GOVERNMENT tarnished itself at the highest levels by pranking and spying and entrapping members of a Presidential campaign -- here's a clue.. AN UNASSAILABLE SOURCE OF PRIMARY FACTS...

The congress critter is Doug Collins.. He's a brave American patriot that put himself on the line and RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC --- all the "closed door" hearing transcripts about this sordid affair...,

In his "press releases" from early april/late march you'll find about 15 of these closed door transcripts... The most REVEALING one in terms of "exonerating" Papadopulous is here:

Collins releases George Papadopoulos transcript - House Judiciary Committee

Or the LINK to it is embedded there. But if you use THAT page, you'll be able to find the other dozen or so from Glenn Simpson (Fusion), Carter Page, and all those dozen top level FBI folks that disgraced themselves and are now fired, retired, demoted, and/or under continuing investigation...

UNTIL you're with me on REAL background and facts, you're kiddy tirades of flames just float by me like cherry blossoms in a March wind.. GFY.....

More horseshit. FISA warrant disclosed political nature of the dossier sourcing and the reason Steele was desparate for Trump to not get elected was because he belived that Trump was likely compromised.

FBI leadership saw that Steele's compilation lined up with many other facts (Papadopolous knowing about Russians having Clinton's emails, Trump's pro-Putin positioning, his opposition to sanctions, Manafort the undeclared-foreign-agent chairing the campaign, Flynn top fp advisor, Papadopolosus and Carter also named as advisors. Cohen brokering a Trump tower deal in Mosow etc etc etc)
