Romney Staggered by Good Jobs Report

"Mainly because more people are looking for work"....

Damn it all to hell that these formerly "uncounted" folks dare to look for a job and be counted again.

You can't make this shit up, Chedd you really are a stupid fuck.

Yes, so stupid that I can't see that number, 171 thousand. So stupid that I can't see constant job growth, month over month over month.

So stupid that I can't see real numbers instead of Romneynomic lies.

Chedd....stop...you look silly.
I'd think those denying monthly job growth are the ones who look silly.

U.S. employers added 171,000 jobs in October, and hiring was stronger in August and September than first thought. The solid job growth showed that the economy is strengthening slowly but consistently.
The unemployment rate rose to 7.9 per cent from 7.8 per cent in September, mainly because more people began looking for work. The government uses a separate survey to calculate the unemployment rate, and it counts people without jobs as unemployed only if they're looking for one

Damn those horrible, horrible facts!
That Job growth barely keeps up with population growth.:eusa_clap:

That doesn't even account for the people who stopped looking for jobs and who will be reentering the workforce when there is a true recovery.

yes, it does. It's in the article.

Of course October's job numbers increased, as they do every year. Christmastime is here again. Seasonal work is seasonal. Duh.

No matter how anyone interprets this latest report it is not going to change the outcome of the election.

I find this news rather grim:

During the more than three-year Obama recovery, we’ve recovered only 4.8 million private-sector jobs of the 8.9 million lost in the Great Recession.

At the current pace of job creation the past two years (and assuming labor force participation stays constant), the economy won’t return to the Bush low of 4.4 percent unemployment for nine more years.

Friday's strong jobs report was a punch in the gut to the already reeling Romney campaign. With his disaster relief stunt exposed and media becoming less tolerant of his lying, Mitt Romney had to face the unavoidable conclusion the numbers presented, the economy is recovering without the help of his "business experience." For a guy with nothing else to sell, that pretty much destroyed his prospects for political success.

Although not enough to sway the dimmest of Romney supporters, the more intellectually able will see the surging employment of the current report and the upward revisions of prior reports for what they reveal of the President's leadership -- a sound policy and a steady hand. The Romney campaign can't tolerate that. It tells the voters they have no reason to vote for Romney.

Mitt Romney is out of his league. He's trying to compete in a contest where he's clearly outclassed by the competition. He doesn't have the moves or the experience to deal with it. Sure, he can bob and weave, duck and dive, but that's not enough when the other guy knows winning the match takes more than trash talk.

Exactly how is the UE rate going back up to 7.9 a good Jobs report?

Sorry Chedd, no.

Unemployment went UP...and your defense is that some people who dropped out of the statistics were now being counted again.

That is stupid.

They should never have stopped being counted kid...sorry.

Actually:

The final monthly jobs report before Election Day offered a mixed bag of economic evidence that would surely become political putty for the presidential candidates, with the unemployment rate ticking up to 7.9 percent but the economy adding a better-than-expected 171,000 jobs. [up from last month when it was 7.8%]

"Today's increase in the unemployment rate is a sad reminder that the economy is at a virtual standstill," Romney said in a statement. "The jobless rate is higher than it was when President Obama took office, and there are still 23 million Americans struggling for work.

At the same time, the number of unemployed grew by 170,000, roughly the same amount...

Nobody can name an Obama jobs program.

Obama is not doing anything but campaigning. His inactivity is the only positive in the economy.

Best thing for the economy at this time would be a win by Romney. If Obama wins the economy will take a massive hit because fear and gridlock will be a certainty.

Nothing new about the obama lie, I called back in January that things would look great on paper because of manipulation of the data. Only an idiot wouldn't have seen it coming.

New jobs of 171,000 with two thirds of them going to low paid and low skilled immigrants is NOT a good jobs report.

Don't worry, you will always have Propaganda and the compliance of the Press to prop you up, Winston Smith. ;)

propaganda?

you mean like mitt lying and saying that Jeep is sending jobs to china?

that kind of propaganda?

hope you came through the storm ok, btw.

Ignoring reality does not make it go away Jillian. Obama has a lot more help generating propaganda than Romney, that's a given, what Romney does have, is experience, and good reason, Obama is in big trouble in both those areas, that's also a given. More Governing and less play and campaigning probably would have made some difference. We came out okay with the storm, very lucky. :) Listening to Cuomo right now, Fuel Tankers are starting to get through. :):):)

What is so damn frustrating is knowing how much faster the recovery could be moving IF the damn pubpots would get out of the way. To them, its all about hurting the president and they don't care that Americans are in their way. They have worked to make sure he won't be re-elected and the failure of their own country is nothing more than unimportant collateral damage.

they should be brought up on charges of treason.

The influx of people seeking jobs "could be a sign that people are starting to see better job prospects and so should be read as another positive aspect to the report," said Julia Coronado, an economist at BNP Paribas.

"Could" be a sign?
Uh, sure.

I'm fine with you thinking this is "good" news, but nobody beyond the Left will interpret any of this that way...and Tuesday is coming ;)

facts don't matter much to you, do they?

Romney isn't really equipped or qualified for much of anything except running for office and he stinks at doing that too.
