Romney opens double-digit margin among Independents

Common sense thinking Independents have had enough of the far Left/Socialist Class Warfare/Race-Baiting agenda. Hopefully, they'll be successful in booting the Socialists/Progressives.

Romney needs to work hand-in-hand with the Republicans in Congress to present a credible blueprint for what America must do to lead America - and by proxy - the World away from the edge of the abyss.

He strikes me as the only person in America with the credentials to actually unite us once again, at least for a while.

I've voted for Democrat, Republican and Independent (Perot) for POTUS.

You?

Republican and write in, i have equal hate for both parties.

I've just never heard you question republicans and seen you only bash democrats (deservedly so).

A Bill O'Reilly type of independent?

Haha yeah, it's basically giving the message of "I'm embarassed to have supported Bush, but i still only vote republican."

It's the same as Bill Maher saying he's an independent.

I'm embarassed to have supported Bush.

Not me. He was awesome, Pre-Pelosi, as the results indicate:

I've been a registered Indie all my voting life and have seen your response many times.

So I will ask you a question.

No matter who I was beating on, wouldn't you automatically be assuming I was a member of the opposite party?

I didn't vote for Obama because his lack of experience all the way around [both political and public] seriously bothered me but I gave him a full 18-24 months in office before I decided my initial opinion was correct - this man was a bumbling neophyte and his staff was even worse.

I will vote for Romney because I know he can't possibly do any worse and has enough political and public experience to hopefully pull at least some of this mess together.

I voted for Bush because I couldn't tolerate Al Gore, not because I was overly impressed with Bush. I wasn't. I was simply, once again, looking at the lesser of two evils. Considering the route Gore took, I'm grateful this country didn't put him back in office.

Could I have voted against Bush? Yes./ If the ticket had been Lieberman-Gore. I have the utmost respect for Lieberman.

And if you realize that Indies tend to be moderates, capable of crossing aisles, it's not difficult to realize we tend to support moderate pols, regardless of party.

For reasons too many to list here, I'm not impressed with either party as a whole although I have much respect for certain individuals in both parties.

I personally feel most pols no longer serve their constituency but only themselves, hoping for a lifetime job and overly generous perks.
