Romney, Capitalist Pigs, And Kruschev

Oh yeah, I'm the one "deflecting". So we know you don't trust the article. Carry on. :clap2:

It's your article. Why can't you discuss my criticism? If you won't defend a major point, what's the reason for posting it at all?

You haven't criticized anything yet. All you've done is declare you don't trust the article. You have yet to criticize anything in the article. Still waiting for you. Go.

I thought it was implied. I don't accept that Romney's been called a "heinous capitalist" by anyone close to Obama. You can't seem to back up the quote with a cite, so we're at an impasse.

If that is your only problem with the article, then I'll assume you agree with everything else in it. Carry on.

It's the backbone of the article's premise. If it can't be cited or defended, the whole article fails.

Fascinating. Carry on.

“There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own,” President Obama stated four years later, speaking in a fire station during a campaign rally in Roanoke. “You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear: you moved your goods to markets on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces that the rest of us paid for.”[iii]

President Dumb Ass believes everyone pays taxes except business owners.

Let's take a good look at who Obama really is.

"George Washington’s assets are estimated in today’s dollars at $525 million, Thomas Jefferson’s at $212 million, Theodore Roosevelt’s at $125 million, Andrew Jackson’s at $119 million, James Madison’s at $101 million, Lyndon Johnson’s at $98 million, Herbert Hoover’s at $75 million, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s at $60 million. John Fitzgerald Kennedy may not have earned his own fortune, but he inherited an estimated $1 billion. Some of these presidents were better than others; none has ever been called a “heinous capitalist.”

Say No To Socialism » Romney,

I have found something interesting in that article:

In such an environment, it is no wonder Senator Obama of 2008 described the undisputed leader of the free world as a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” unable to provide medical care for the poor, rebuild her “crumbling schools,” or replace the “shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race.” Of course the senator pledged to change it by redistributing its wealth.

As you can see, the word "described" has a link in it to an article in the Times Online. However, the link does not work.

But I dug it out of the Internet Archive, and there is nothing in that article which Pacepa claims is in there.

He is making shit up.

And when I search on "decaying, racist, capitalist realm" on Google, I find that Pacepa said this in June:

The leaders of the Democratic Party painted the United States of America, the undisputed leader of the Free World, as a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” unable to provide medical care for the poor, to rebuild her “crumbling schools,” to replace the “shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race,” and it pledged to “change” it by redistributing its wealth. Our media jumped in, and transformed the Democratic Party’s “change” into a nationwide tsunami.

Note how he does not attribute "decaying, racist, capitalist realm" to Obama. He attributes it to unnamed "leaders of the Democratic Party". And he uses the plural. Does anyone remember leaders of the Democratic Party calling America a “decaying, racist, capitalist realm”?

Anyone?

As much as I dislike Obama, I find it impossible to believe he would say such a thing during a campaign. Anyone with more than two critical thinking brain cells would realize that, too.

Instead of reading something which agrees with your bias and chugging it down in large gulps, stop and think once in a while, okay?

Pacepa is lying.

But let's look at the rest of the stuff he puts in quotes.

“shuttered mills that once provided a decent life for men and women of every race,”

I found that.

Here.

A campaign speech by Obama in 2008 in which he disavows Reverend Wright and conjures up the ghost of Frederick Douglass.

Read it. You won't find “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” anywhere in it.

In fact, I can't find “decaying, racist, capitalist realm” uttered by any Democrat anywhere.

Pacepa is guilty of making shit up. He is a propagandist.

George W. Bush inherited a strong economy, a budget surplus, and a nation at peace.

Eight years later, he left Obama with a shattered economy, a trillion dollar deficit, and two useless wars.

Obama saved the country from another Great Depression, rebuilt GM, reformed healthcare, reformed Wall Street, doubled the stock market, created 11 straight quarters of GDP growth, created 28 straight months of private sector job growth, got Bin Laden, got Gaddafi, and got us out of Iraq.

And now with the automatic spending cuts and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts in 2012, Obama has solved the deficit problem as well.

Obama has done a very good job.

do facts just go thru ur ears?

Obama has done a very good job.

Obama has greatly expanded the reach and depth of federal power into our lives.

Obama has created a new entitlement program with a fuse which will explode long after he has gone and which will bankrupt all participating states.

Obama sat under a racist hateful Marxist preacher for 20 years. Deny that.

Obama sat under a racist hateful Marxist preacher for 20 years. Deny that.

The author of your OP article is a liar, and now you are moving the goalposts.

Deny that.

No, he's not a liar. This Democrat party has been taken over by the radical left. This is not JFK's party. You will spin something into such a pretzel to make anything look like what you want it to. Obama is a Marxist. Period. Obama disavows his Marxist preacher after sitting under his teaching for 20 years.

All you did was replace a defective link with another defective link. You're the liar here.

No, he's not a liar.

He most certainly is. He said Obama called America a "decaying, racist, capitalist realm".

That is a lie.

The only person who has called America a "decaying, racist, capitalist realm" is Pacepa.

Google it. See for yourself. His little invented meme was copied and propagated all over the internet by little drones like you. You will find that his writings are the only writings on the entire internet with that phrase.

He's a liar.

[All you did was replace a defective link with another defective link. You're the liar here.

Nope.

Go to Internet Archive: Wayback Machine

You will see a fill in the blank spot next to a "Take Me Back" button. Remove the placeholder http:// in that space and put Pacepa's link in it. I have pasted his link below. You can right click on it and copy it, then paste it into the Wayback Machine:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/us_elections/article3248449.ece

The next screen is a calendar of the year 2008. You will see a blue circle for October 7. Click on that. That will take you to the link I posted.

That is an archived copy of the article to which Pacepa was linking.

Read it.

Nothing in there about Obama calling America a "decaying, racist, capitalist realm".

I don't think Pacepa was expecting anyone to actually check his sources and to go to all the trouble I went to. He expects you to just chug his bongwater and regurgitate it.

He's a liar.

You don't think Rush and Hannity and Coulter and Malkin would have been all over America as a "decaying, racist, capitalist realm" comment from Obama in 2008?

You don't think that would be common knowledge?

Pacepa made it up. He's a liar.

Here is the only quote by Obama in the article to which Pacepa linked:

Tomorrow Mr Ferillo will support Mr Obama, who visited the J.V. Martin school in August. “Windows have been broken, ceilings have caved in, roofs have leaked, bathrooms have not worked,” Mr Obama said afterwards. “When a child goes to a school that’s crumbling, is it any wonder that she gets a sense her education is not important?” A third of the 560 pupils read at three or more grades below the national average and many 12 and 13-year-olds cannot identify all the letters of the alphabet.

Pacepa is a liar.

Ion Mihai Pacepa was a general in the Communist Romanian secret police.

Lying comes naturally to him. Anything which furthers the cause, even if it is a lie, is good. That's the way leaders in the Communist bloc thought.
