My suggested option is to keep tightening the economic screws for now and wait a little bit. China will come around.Nobody is "keen" on that, what a stupid statement. There are people, on all parts of the spectrum, that worry the cost of military action is too great.I really don't get why the lefties are so keen to let this little freak continue his weapons programs and hostility toward innocent civilians in S. Korea, Japan, and Guam. Its stunning in it's stupidity.
That said, keep it up lefties, you're driving your socialist party into the ground and I find that quite satisfying.
You can hide behind your mama's skirt all you want, but that is not going to stop Kimmy from pushing for a war, nor will it prevent the need for a response from the US and the rest of the world. The US had zero interest in a war with NK, they were a nothing and a nobody; right up until Kimmy started testing nukes and launching missiles. His goal is to scare the world and /someone/ has to stand up to the little punk. We, the world, attempted to "ground him" and "put him in time out" through sanctions - his response was to fire at Japan.
The left's "idea" of handling this situation is like seeing someone shoot the window out on a store and deciding it's okay and letting them both keep the gun and also continue to recklessly throw bullets around on the street; it's a ridiculous position. If you saw a young kid with a gun you'd take it the fuck away from him - and that's roughly what we're dealing with here; an immature leader who needs a good swat on the ass before he turns into a nightmare for the entire world. It's not even America so much, because he's not hitting Guam, even if he shoots at it, but for largely helpless countries S. Korea and Japan - countries that /we/ the US have both a moral and "legal" obligation to protect.
Our options are:
A) attempt to bring Kimmy to heel (what we're doing with these sanctions and threats - which is also giving notice to China and Russia that we, the rest of the world, are done with Kimmy's bullshit.)
B) ignore it - aka let him have nukes and continue with his plan to both overrun and oppress S. Korea (and possibly Japan,) and also move forward on his plans to destroy America (which he's been saying since he took power in 2011, and his family has been saying for far longer)
C) Attack him first (which isn't even on the docket for the US, though might be for S. Korea or Japan)
What's your suggested D) option?
