Republicans Vote Against Moms; No Word Yet on Puppies, Kittens

Sadly, the reason for voting no was probably more game playing than it was principle, but nevertheless it was a waste of time and didn't even deserve to be introduced to begin with. A vote of yes for it is endorsing a waste of time and money, neither of which are in surplus right now.

Probably? It passed 412 to 0. Then, the Republicans moved to reconsider, and 178 Republicans cast their votes against it.

It was nothing but a waste of time and money, and game playing for purposes of delay.

I think the point is, it should never have been introduced to begin with,

Puppies: Let 'em fight! (Well, maybe that's not fair; the vast majority of Republicans supported the anti-dog fighting bill. Of course, the exceptions were all leadership positions...)

Kittens: must be protected from the Wrath of God by people like Antonin Scalia, (based on his dissenting opinion in Lawrence vs. Texas).
