There were many Reasons why the Situation in Libya is very Different than 99% of all our other embassies, and consulates. Not just the 2 attempted attacks on the Consulate. There was the over all situation in Libya, which we helped bring about which was very unstable. There was an attack on the British Ambassador in Benghazi, the Brits and the Red Cross Both had pulled their people up because of the Security Situation in Benghazi. Al Qaeda Was actually flying their Flag over some of the Building around Benghazi.

The Fact the left is Defending the Administration on this is pretty funny to me. So blinded by Ideology they can't admit that Obama is an Incompetent Leader.

So.... you think Obama should micro-manage the above list of embassys and consulats?

I doubt he has that much free time.

I'm not the one who said he should "micromanage" anything.

But I'd expect a competent President to know a little more about security concerns of Ambassadors in Libya than Ambassadors in Vatican City, Fiji, and Trinidad.

Apparently a couple years in the US senate, representing Chicago in the Illinois congress, and being a Law Professor/Public Service Advocate do not qualify one for prioritizing international safety concerns, however obvious.

He doesn't owe republicans, per-se, an explanation. However he does owe the American people an explanation for why the Benghazi consulate was relatively unprotected on the anniversary of 9/11 2001, and that was the purpose of the town-hall debate where he presented himself for questions.

It could not be a budgetary reason because the individual with whom the responsibility Benghazi fell said that they felt there were sufficient assets there, and if a US Marine detachment had been assigned to be there in the time frame of the anniversary it would have been provided under the defense department budget, not State's.

Libya was a major issue for the president since it was his own initiative that we were involved there, so it should've been high in the president's and Secretary of State's awareness. For that reason it seems very likely that everything going on in Benghazi was being managed by the highest level of State and/or the Oval Office, including the denial of "enhanced security," as Kerry Ladka posed it in his question:

No departmental "underling" would deny protection for that consulate without presenting the question regarding its security to a higher up, and no one would want to be the one who limited security without good reason, and which could only be done for policy reasons. A POLICY of that type would only be written at the highest levels of the department of responsibility, meaning both State, and the Executive.

Libya ever since we started bombing the place over a year ago has been on classified briefings about terrorist camps, etc every month around the intel community....but of course idiot liberals believe there was NOTHING mentioned about the State Department facilities being attacked numerous times by terrorists.....well because their cult leader says so.

Obamination knew about the terrorist threat in Libya and he ignored it either because he is stupid, nuts or evil.
