Cut taxes and let private enterprise do it. Worked well in the 19thC because private charities are far more efficient.So Republicans have a plan, without government involvement, to maintain the same levels of assistance we now give to the poor?
That of course will outrage the loafers, gold brickers, and frauds so they'll claim people were starving in the streets.
That never happened in the 19th century. The horrific poverty of the 19th century is what inspired government social programs.
