Record 93,626,000 Americans not in labor force

only those with an IQ of 25 or under, those in a coma and cockroaches actually believe we have 5.4 unemployment.
Funny how when Shrub had 5.4% unemployment, cons touted it was real.
how can anyone brag about the Obama 5.4% unemployment rate when we all know it really closer to 35%? in other words, 93 Million under/not employed Americans represents 5.5(ish) per-cent of America?
You do know that Bush had 102 Million under/not employed Americans when he left, don't you?

That's a lie. When Bush left office, their were 80.5M people not in the Labor force; Obama's figure is 93.6M.

If you want to add underemployed, then you need to update Obama's 93.6M as well.
The poster clearly said "under/not employed" so that means you add 12+ million unemployed plus 7.9 million underemployed for Bush's total.

He quoted 102M people to compare it to the 93.6M of the thread topic. That is bogus. 93.6M are no longer in the labor force. That figure does not include under and unemployed.

Yes... of course. Because 93 million is not close to one third of the ENTIRE POPULATION that is NOT WORKING.

To be more precise, it is 29.4% of the population. Does that seem like a shocking number to you?

Which without any study of how many of those are below the age of consent, too old, medically incapable of work, incarcerated, morally unsuited, etc..., we can readily deduce that the percentage of those capable of working, but who are not working is well above 1/3rd.

A simple google search would have fixed that problem for you. Instead, you thought it would be better to just run your mouth. After all, what could possibly be go wrong with running your mouth before you know what you're actually talking about? Just jump up and down and say that nearly a third of the population isn't participating in the workforce. It'll work out great!

It's not like Swimexpert's going to smack your bitch ass down with fact and figures, showing that we have always had at least one third of the population not participating in the workforce. Nope, not going to happen. Anyone waiting for it to happen better grab a chair and get comfortable. Long wait ahead of you.

Oh, and while you're waiting, feel free to study this graph from the BLS showing historic workforce participation rates since the 1940s.

You see the two values of total population and 'not working' remain static

What. The. Fuck.

I can't even begin to describe how stupid that is a thing to say. That's Paintmyhouse level stuipd. That's Franco level stupid. That's Nancy Pelosi level stupid.

Well there ya go kids...

To the Ideological Left, there's nothing shocking about 42.9% of the NATION: NOT WORKING, which is to say HALF THE NATION IS UNEMPLOYED.

Of course, they aren't proclaiming that officially... because not 'everyone' agrees that HALF THE NATION BEING UNEMPLOYED IS ACCEPTABLE.

SO... they tell YOU that 5.3% of the nation is unemployed.

This so that ya don't wet your pants, because you're to stupid to recognize that half the nation being unemployed is perfectly NORMAL!

They're not lying... they're protecting you from yourself.
Again, using Stockman's moronic calculation Bush left with a 52.9% not working.

This why the unemployment numbers are meaningless. Just goes to show that the far left policies cause more income disparity and allow the rich to become richer and the poor to be become even more poor.

But the far left wants everyone dependent on government and anyone voting for such things should not be allowed out in society.

Okay. Then the valid comparison is to use this for Obama:

Not in Labor Force 93.6M
Unemployed 8.3M
Part Time for Economic Reasons 6.5M

(I'm not including marginally attached as they should already by in the first figure).

This total is 108.4M.

So after adding $8T to the debt, all we have is 6.4M more people who are under/unemployed/not in the labor force.

Thanks Obama!

Of course, of that 93 million, only 6 million want a job. The rest are housewives, students, disabled and retirees.
The GOP house added all that debt.
Thanks Republicans.

That's a big old heaping pile of Sophistry, bub.

As one of your Bright Lights of the Left has claimed: Unemployment Insurance is an economic stimulus. Obamanomics pays people to not work; and the ACA further discourages full time employment via penalties to employers and the handling of subsidies.

Thanks Obama!

Yes, it is horse shit. Obamanomics and the ACA are steaming turds.

That's why the U-6 rate, which is the real unemployment rate, has been so high during Obama's presidency. It was much lower under Bush, under Clinton, and under Reagan.

I prefer the Shadow Stats analysis. It's more accurate.

Practically all the gains have been at the top, regulations are not the drag on the economy that conservatives make them out to be. The lack of disposable income, the shortage of consumer credit and the disappearance of job security is a much more relevant problem. If the business was there businesses would simply pass on the costs of business to their customers as they always do.
Regulations have put industries out of business and as a small business person I can tell you that regulations, taxes, fees are a killer. A jobs killer. Now add obabamcare to it, now add them reducing the definition of full time down to 30 hrs per week to force businesses to provide insurance. That makes it tough. Hating conservatives is a very poor response to a very serious problem.

I do not hate conservatives, I just wish they would wise up and quit thinking that what is good for big business and billionaires is good for them. If business addressed the problem of flat wages, declining benefits, rising health care costs, etc. then there would be no reason for the government to get into it now would there? The working class is hurting worse than any segment of the economy and yet they do not matter at all to conservatives, all they get from republicans is work harder, work cheaper and shut the fuck up.

You hate anything that is not fart left so yes you hate Conservatives or otherwise you would be more upset as the far left forces the blue dogs out of the party..

They ARE addressing the causes of declining wages, declining benefits, rising health care costs, etc. They're trying to boot the Democrats out!!!!!

Sure you hate conservatives, it isn't even slightly opague. You constantly lie about them as you do in this post. In fact every post I've seen from you.

Conservatives say work hard, make more money, let's get the government off our backs and we can all prosper. You need to research who's pockets big business money goes into.
