Rasmussen: Newt 45 Obama 43

No, we want to get back to Dems in real power (pre 2/2010) or at least some pubs who know what compromise and the good of the country are, not Rush/Moonie/Fox/Koch bot A-HOLES. Newt is scum. Fined $300K by a Pub congress!

Newt 2012!!

Then newt is the man for you, and all his liberal agenda.

Newt is a crook and a hypocrite.

Newt 2012! Liberal Nazi!:cuckoo::lol:

Another thumb-sucking liberal that can't clarify a point---:lol::lol:

Newt and obama are mirror images of each other. If you can support one without supporting the other you are a racist.

Wow- you win. O's gonna walk into his second term. Who can beat that? :cuckoo:
Well, again, Bush's record was worse at this point, yet he was re-elected despite inheriting an economy not nearly as bad as the one he handed Obama. So if Bush can win with a record worse than Obama's, what makes you think Obama can't defeat the 7 dwarfs threatening to run against him next year?

PS - He's also run up the debt to over $15 trillion...the chart is from last year.
And that's surprising given the debt increased by $1.4 trillion during the year before he became president?

Dwarfs...I love it. I have been calling them clowns.

Obama -- 4 more years!

LOL! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and Santa is bringing an early present to Newt! GO Newt GO!

2012 Presidential Matchups - Rasmussen Reports™

To jump for joy because newt is leading in the polls against obama when obama and newt are mirror images of each other has just one motive . Please check yourself and why you don't like obama and can support Newt.

DUH:cuckoo: Because Obama is only half white and Newt is full white. I wanna display the same racial pride that so many others did in November 2008 when they raved about a man winning when they knew nothing but half his race.

lol not if you understand what they're talking about, it couldn't.

I do understand and it does

Bring that shit in! Uggh!

Yeah, the movement's in motion with mass militant poetry
Now check this out...uggh!

In the right light, study becomes insight
But the system that dissed us
Teaches us to read and right

So called facts are fraud
They want us to allege and pledge
And bow down to their God
Lost the culture, the culture lost
Spun our minds and through time
Ignorance has taken over
Yo, we gotta take the power back!
Bam! Here's the plan
Motherfuck Uncle Sam
Step back, I know who I am
Raise up your ear, I'll drop the style and clear
It's the beats and the lyrics they fear
The rage is relentless
We need a movement with a quickness
You are the witness of change
And to counteract
We gotta take the power back

Yeah, we gotta take the power back
Come on, come on!
We gotta take the power back

The present curriculum
I put my fist in 'em
Eurocentric every last one of 'em
See right through the red, white and blue disguise
With lecture I puncture the structure of lies
Installed in our minds and attempting
To hold us back
We've got to take it back
Holes in our spirit causin' tears and fears
One-sided stories for years and years and years
I'm inferior? Who's inferior?
Yeah, we need to check the interior
Of the system that cares about only one culture
And that is why
We gotta take the power back

Yeah, we gotta take the power back
Come on, come on!
We gotta take the power back

Hey yo check, we're gonna have to break it, break it,
break it down
Awww shit!

Uggh!

And like this...uggh!

Come on, yeah! Bring it back the other way!

The teacher stands in front of the class
But the lesson plan he can't recall
The student's eyes don't perceive the lies
Bouning off every fucking wall
His composure is well kept
I guess he fears playing the fool
The complacent students sit and listen to some of that
Bullshit that he learned in school

Europe ain't my rope to swing on
Can't learn a thing from it
Yet we hang from it
Gotta get it, gotta get it together then
Like the motherfuckin' weathermen
To expose and close the doors on those who try
To strangle and mangle the truth
'Cause the circle of hatred continues unless we react
We gotta take the power back

Yeah, we gotta take the power back
Come on, come on!
We gotta take the power back

No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies
No more lies

Uggh!

Yeah!

Take it back y'all
Take it back, a-take it back
A-take it back y'all, come on!
Take it back y'all
Take it back, a-take it back
A-take it back y'all, come on!

Uggh!

Yeah!

See?

Think about how the tea party and OWS view the govt and read the lyrics.......see it?

Yes there are PARTS that are contrary to both the TEA party and OWS but if you take the overall message of the song it is applicable to both movements.

"Want us to bow down unto their god" The TEA party would say this is the govt and some liberals wanting people to bow down to the govt...OWS would say its catholics talking about catholocism.

I'll talk about any section if you want...this would be fun :D

If you knew much about the band, it's no question in any part what they're referring to, duke.

When they say "god" theyre very specifically talking about doing away with the pledge of allegiance because it's Religious and hypocrtical to a Religion-free based Government.

The "system" they're referring to throughout the whole song is Capitalism. Their Biography makes tyhat abundantly clear.

What Weathermen do you think they're referring to? (a-hem - Ayers).

And by seeing through the red white and blue disguise, and European references ad nauseum, again look into their biography. They're referring to the Class system - a.k.a. talking about the Rich owning the Country while pretending it's Free - - - - - and wanting to do away with that fact.

In the context of who the band is, this can't get any clearer that it's nothing at all consistent with the Tea Party, and literally everything to do with OWS.

And since when is anyone required to interpret words "in the context of who" the author is? Hell, our Constitution doesn't even get that privilege, so why should some two-bit song?

In the context of who the band is, this can't get any clearer that it's nothing at all consistent with the Tea Party, and literally everything to do with OWS.

It is art and open to interpretation. Thats what good art does, it is flexible enough to allow for it to be applied across differing situations

For example

"Europe ain't my rope to swing on
Can't learn a thing from it
Yet we hang from it
Gotta get it, gotta get it together then
Like the motherfuckin' weathermen
To expose and close the doors on those who try
To strangle and mangle the truth"

Now conservatives could hear that part and say "Yeah we don't want to be like socialist europe because it sucks yet we are trying to immitate it to our own demise. We better get our shit together and expose the truth of those who would lie to us and tell us the european model is best"

You can't deny that, as art, that song can be interpreted any way people listening want to. Maybe your not a big art guy though :dunno:

You can interpret it any way you want, but the fact that it has a known meaning and the Artist has a known Agenda and is a Political Activist - makes your interpretation wrong. That's all - it's pretty simple.

And I'm likely bigger into art than you are, being I'm an artist.

Most art that's open to interpretation is abstract art. This isn't abstract, it's pointed political posturing. It's open for interpretation only by proxy of being public words - but the meaning is specific to the cause of the artist so your "Conservative" or whatever interpretation is the exact opposite of what it means ACCORDING TO THE WRITER.

No, you're wrong. This is a specific example of a song written as a pointed political message - it's not a song meant to transcend intent but to have a very pointed intent - which, in case you missed it - INTENT is why the band even sings.

Jesus christ - if you want to have Conservative music or music you can interpret in a conservative way b/c it's "vague," go find it. But don't try taking a very Anti-Capitalist anti-Corporate band's lyrics and try twisting them in such a distorted way. That's the antithesis of THEIR art, and nothing a fan of theirs would do.

When "DMX" says "another dick in the mudd, nigga what" he's talking about murder, not a guy's dick in the ass. There's abstract, and there's pointed. You have trouble seeing the difference.

I have no trouble understanding art whatsoever. I'm just not as narrow minded in my view of how it can be interpreted as you are.

For an artist you are having a hard time grasping the concept that good art trancends intention and resists being put into a small interpretive box.

It's more-so narrow minded to know that the band is anti-Capitalist and plug your ears to who they are and attempt to interpret their lyrics as meaning the polar opposite.

It's also disrespectful to the artist.

There's conscious lyracists (Common, Rage, etc.)....there's abstract lyracists (Disturbed, Chevelle, etc.)

You're having a really hard time with that it looks like.

And we are back at the beginning as you run in circles

Obtuse. This art has a pointed intent. You're dick-riding it and don't want it to mean what it so obviously means given the writer, the words themselves and their movement, because you love it so much. I get it, no big deal.

Nah im just open minded enough to understand the intent while seeing how the art itself can be applied more broadly.

And yet too closed minded to know that the Artist, the Writer himself, is anti what you've interpreted it as - thus, your interpretation that it's in line, in parts, with the tea party - is absurd.

But go ahead and interpret it that way if it makes you feel any better about the tea party and Rage co-existing in your "like" category. Love is blind.

Did I not tell you that, while I understand their intent, the fact that it is GOOD art means it can be interpreted many ways.

Your posts are leading me to believe your own art to be very lacking in this area since you can't seem to grasp the concept that great art will have different meanings to different people when they interpret it regardless of the intent of the artist.

You keep going in circles about it, either shit or get off the pot already.
