Paul Ryan gives presentation on #Trumpcare, becomes instant meme.

Basically the guy says Obamacare doesn't work because healthy people are paying for sick people to get healthcare.

Then he says that what he wants is for the government to help the sick people.

Who does he think pays for the government?

Does he think the money comes from nowhere? Er... the money comes from people. So instead of people paying through their health insurance, (and isn't health insurance a pool of money you take from when you get ill anyway?) they're just going to pay through their taxes.

But, here's the thing, Rand Paul is pretending that the votes are so fucking stupid, they just won't get it (and he's probably right in the majority of it, unless someone points out the fucking obvious).

Of course not.

The point being that if everyone has to pay for their own healthcare without having a pool of money which they might pay less into and get more out of, or the reverse, then this is exactly what it would be. Insurance is a pool of money, you might pay more, you might pay less than you take out of.

If you didn't have insurance and then got very sick, which can happen anytime....everything your worked for your whole life is gone to pay for your illness. And then they stop treatment because you are broke.
You could never afford what the hospitals are charging without insurance.

We need to stop the corruption starting from the government on down , it is not the sick people draining the insurances..
