When I was younger, Detroit (I live 50 miles from there most of my life) was a great city. Everyone was doing well.

I grew up in Southern Californian so I am well aware of the condition of how any neighborhood can deteriorate with poverty and a degenerate attitude. Hate begets more hate. Poverty without hope can take anyone down that path.
