If I am out to dinner and I have my phone on silent and I want to look at it to check my messages, then how the heck is that some other diner's business? IF you want to sit around looking at other diners you dont' even know to find things to bitch and moan about, well, then sorry your life isn't complete. Sheesh. I saw an ad the other night for some new "gotcha" hidden camera show with Howie Mandel hosting and it looks like trash. I don't understand this incessant need there is now to make everything offensive and scummy. I turned to my wife after the commerical and she was looking at me with the same disgust I was feeling and I said, "Candid Camera was a really funny show and it was family friendly. WTF is wrong with society anymore?"

Clearly some don't see it. While older programs seemed too strict, it was reflective of the majority's morals. Today, it's anything goes and even the most vulgar of displays is called 'art.' It's indicative of the serious lack of morals by today's society. Miley Cyrus is a great example of things gone too far. She merely picked up where Madonna left off. The more vulgar, the better some like it. There is a blurred line between so-called art and outright porn these days.

I thought the women's lib movement was about considering women as people with equal rights and not merely sex objects. Apparently, that has changed with the left. It's now about pandering to the fringe because they make up the majority of their group.

Looks like we're going full circle and back to women being objectified while the leftist whackos cheer. They've reduced women to being vaginas, whether it's talking about abortions being the number one concern for all women or condoning the trash that Cyrus and Madonna have put out for years. Madonna stated years ago that she protects her children from the trash in movies and TV, the same trash that made her who she is today. she had no problem introducing youth to her brand of garbage, but it's too nasty for her own children.

Hypocrisy rules the day. We have sunk to a new low and no sign that some are interested in turning that around. Decades ago, it was predicted that this must happen to take down a country and impose a dictatorship. A rotted society is one of the ingredients for socialism to take hold.

All of the foregoing are seen in today's "entertainment". Personally, I like some of today's popular entertainment (Breaking Bad is perhaps the best TV show ever; and what is not to like about The Walking Dead?). But, come on, if you do not see the decline in both quality and material that has any redeeming value to humanity, then you are fucking blind or stupid.

Like most millennials you are narcissistic - you think that world history began at YOUR birth, completely dismissive of all that came before you. One only hopes that you will wise up as you grow older.

When liberals foisted their religious beliefs onto people and proclaimed "Thou shall not be judgmental" the tools required for keeping up the state of order were invalidated and even the effort to keep up order, or standards, was denigrated ("you old stick up the ass, get with the times, be progressive.")

On what basis do you conflate culture with politics? What law legislates social mores? Can you link to this alleged "get with the times" legislation? Where is this "religious" law?

I thoroughly agree about the erosion of television. It is nearly impossible to find ANY series that doesn't have someone picking up a stranger and taking them somewhere and showing them all but having sex.

It appears the only ones I can count on being entertaining without all the unnecessary garbage is on CBS and produced by the same people who do NCIS.
