Apparently, for some Republicans, all it takes for Donald Trump to win over the support of Black voters is a pair of gold sneakers worth $400.

On Fox News, commentator Raymond Arroyo made the wild claim, which leans into racial stereotypes about Black people, that due to an alleged love for sneakers, they would vote for Trump in the coming presidential election.

This comes after Trump proudly showed off his gold sneakers on social media, after they sold out within days of him launching them at Sneaker Con.

During an appearance on Fox News' "The Big Weekend Show," Arroyo made a startling analysis regarding Black Americans and a reason why they could potentially support former president Donald Trump in his bid to be re-elected.

Arroyo noted that Trump, who launched a line of gold shoes at the recently concluded Sneaker Con, was connecting to Black people "culturally" because "they love sneakers." He also claimed that the release of the $400 gold sneakers was causing Black Americans' support of President Joe Biden to wane.

"Even the sneaker thing. I was on social media last night. Very interesting as you see Black support eroding from Joe Biden," Arroyo stated. "This is connecting with Black America because they love sneakers... This is a big deal. Certainly in the inner city."

You can't make this stuff up folks.

So this fool thinks because Trump comes out with a cheap ass pair of sneakers that now all of a sudden black folks are going to vote for him.

Let's face it. Most people in media, be they MSNBC, CNN or Fox News probably don't have the most diverse friendships outside of those of their co-workers. He probably read a couple of posts by some people who had a black avatar and figured "that's enough evidence for me".

It's just a throwaway comment by Arroyo. What would lefties do if they didn't have Soros funded Media Matters to spin comments from (only) conservative speech? Maybe talk about important issues like food end energy prices and the insanity of open borders?

Indicted and impeached a gazillion times by "the man" with no end in sight, is a man whore every chance he gets, yep, he sures sounds black to me.

Trump just needs some dental work done in order to secure the Black vote once and for all.

He didn't say Trump won them over... he said they will relate to this sneaker line of shoes being released on video...
Trump is winning blacks over with his promise of a better life... dems have tossed blacks under the bus for new downtrodden Hispanics and gays and lesbians....

You could still buy them for around $ 3,200.00 on eBay, don’t give up hope.. 😉

(although your size 5’s might be tough.)

Raymond is usually spot on. Not this time.

Yeah, that's kind of cringe.

Black people do like sneakers. So do White people.

Trump is obviously marketing his sneakers to Trump fans, which are largely White with growing Black support.

Selling sneakers is not likely to buy votes. After all, people have to spend their own money.

On the other hand, we we were fed fried chicken and basketball on Feb 12th from Joe Biden in some real cringe video....

He will be fired…

Also, gotta be honest…not a fan of the sneakers. Just too much…gold…..

What was he right about?
This...

(Biden is in serious mental decline, his visit to East Palestine was sad, and the Biden Admin is reaching out to Black Americans by telling them they are disproportionately impacted by Climate Change, etc...)

You are right. They have plenty of good reasons to vote for Trump. They do not need that one.
