Putin Says he Will Nuke the World.

NATO is a conglomeration of weak states. JFK was a strong leader who sent russia back to their sphere. Unfortunately, we don't have strong leaders like that anymore.
A unified NATO is comporting itself quite well, and exposing the "savvy genius"'s disastrous underestimation of it.

The "strong man" mystique doesn't overcome the need for deft diplomacy.

Kennedy's agreeing to withdraw U.S. missiles from Turkey in exchange for the withdrawal of Soviet ones in Cuba was clearly a good deal.

Putin "signals escalation" with a governmental alert order and you want to call that Putin "saying" he'll "nuke the world"??

This is the kind of fake news hyperbole that has ruined public discourse in America.
What would he do if he couldn't get parts for farm equipment to harvest wheat, his ruble was literally worthless outside of Russia, foreign banks were calling in his debt entirely after Russia defaulted on paying monthly payments (because the Ruble was worthless and he could not access any foreign currency), and the IMF turned him down for loans to refinance the debt .... and he feared assassination every moment of every day/night?

If they were comporting themselves quite well they would have tried for a diplomatic solution. They didn't and now stand by, doing nothing. Oh yeah, sanctions blah blah....whatever. A strong NATO would have never let this escalate to where it is now.

The only "diplomatic" solution Putin offered was regime change for a puppet govt and a military occupation.

If Putin had wanted to guarantee Ukraine's borders and Ukraine's right to trade with the EU in exchange for Ukraine not having any military alliance, and some political settlement of the Russian separatists in Donbass having local political autonomy and some negotiated treaty on Crimea, the West was agreeable. There's no agreement on letting Ukraine in the EU let alone Nato.

The West, including Trump, acted as if Putin would not behave as if this was 1956 or 68. Ironically, Putin may now see a Nato as it existed then, with the US deployed.

To what? An unprovoked invasion by a criminal "savvy genius" is not negotiable.

Meanwhile, the naughty little borscht boy is getting quite a spanking by the coordinated action of advanced democracies led by the United States:

President Biden announced a ban on Russian energy imports earlier this week, targeting one of Moscow's largest sources of income...
The European Union announced this week that it would be moving to cut its natural gas imports from Russia by two-thirds this year...
Many Western countries have issued severe economic sanctions against Russia since it invaded Ukraine in late February. The value of the Russian ruble has plummeted in the past few weeks.
The Kremlin on Thursday said Russia's economy was experiencing a "shock," after the U.S. and its allies imposed sanctions on the country...
"Our economy is experiencing a shock impact now and there are negative consequences..." Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on press call, Reuters reported.
"This is absolutely unprecedented. The economic war that has started against our country has never taken place before. So it is very hard to forecast anything," he added.

But if the avg Russian actually thinks Nato has some aggression planned, and that Putin was right in invading Ukraine, what will happen if the avg Russian in reduced to standing in line for stale/woody bread?

They're actually in favor of a "small" nuclear war. A "little bit" of nuclear winter to reverse climate change. These people are fucking insane.

Life has no value to them.

I have said it here since I started posting in 2015.

Most leftists are soulless ghouls.

Hopefully the limited nuclear war includes THEM AS CASUALTIES.

Also, they can always kill themselves for the greater good. That is the best option.

So basically, ukraine is a pawn for a proxy adventure with superpowers involved. Fun fun!

Putin had lined up 190,000 troops on three borders. You're telling me NATO had no clue? Lol.

The hallmark of sociopaths is the absence of empathy. That's why they're notorious for "parroting" pretextual faux outrage - any manifestation of empathy is merely mimicry aimed at serving an agenda.

And unfortunately the state of modern politics attracts sociopaths and actually repels regular people. So we're left with more and more sociopaths running the country.

Newsweek ran this strange article that says Putin is now going to "Nuke the World" according to Newsweek Magazine online. Do think he is serious? I just heard Democrat friends in the Middle East who are oil-rich are not taking Biden's phone calls that would just be pleas for foreign oil and gas, while he can destroy America. Gee. We'll be so miserable, Biden's crapshoot is to pay foreigners for oil and starve America's oil business. I don't get it. Do you?

He can't even take Ukraine
