On a more serious note, when Trump said "America First", he put a target on his back as the Globalists saw this as impeding their agenda of eliminating national sovereignty.

We have been hoodwinked into framing issues along the wrong axis. So much of what we have experienced in recent years isn't so much about left and right or democrat vs republican but about globalization vs national sovereignty and centralized control vs localized.
