Here's the rub:

Under the former Soviet communist system, government did provide for the needs of the every man, however, said government also decided how much of everything the every man should get, when he should get it, and what quality those provisions should be. The Soviet government also decided who was loyal, who was a party dissident and who should be hustled off to political prisons middle of the night.

All those modern impoverished Russians? They now have a choice to rise or fall based on personal merit, and personal effort and personal responsibility--free of Soviet absolute control of their destinies. Big government in America and the nanny state want to assign every American to a subgroup based on identity, and then subsidize that group rather than promote it socially based on individual merit. No thank you.

I voted for Trump in the Presidential Primary because all the other candidates were telling me I was stupid if I liked the things Trump was saying.

I voted for Trump in the General because he was the candidate with the R next to his name.
