Putin gave Trump a soccer ball with a computer chip in it!

Apparently, the soccer ball that Trump received from Putin has a microchip in it. CNN reported that it did, but apparently, ALL the soccer balls that were used at FIFA World Cup are microchiped so that the company can provide updates to your phone.

Doesn't mean that it couldn't be used for nefarious purposes though. Here is what Snopes had to say on the subject, and they said that while all those soccer balls have them, the Russians could have replaced it with a similar looking chip that can hack phones.

I posted links to both the Snopes article, and what CNN reported, so that you can make up your own minds.

Vladimir Putin may have given Trump a soccer ball with a transmitter chip - CNNPolitics

Sorry Moron, FAKE NEWS STORY just to game Russian-triggered derps like you to keep the 007 fantasy alive. These balls come made with the chip in them now, they are completely normal and innocuous (that's a big-boy word for innocent). The chip allows fans to merely access player videos, competitions and other content by bringing their mobile devices close to the ball. The Secret Service said the ball underwent a routine security screening. These chips are RFID and have no power to operate on their own and depend upon you holding a mobile device up close to them to even operate.

CNN now Channeling The Onion :rolleyes-41:

CNN is nowhere near as credible as The Onion, nor is Snopes.

Well I guess the only question we have to answer now is which will transmit our classified secrets faster to Moscow, Trump or the Ball?
My God you people are pathetic.
I guess some people are too dense to see tongue and cheek when you read. It is revealing that you and other conservative deadheads actually believe that Trump would reveal secrets quicker than a transmitter. It is why you all got so triggered by my comment. Yeah, pathetic is right.
I don’t believe he would give secrets. My comment about being pathetic is any idiot that would post stupid drivel.

You don't think Trump would give away secrets to the Russians? Hate to tell you, but he already did.

Trump revealed highly classified information to Russian foreign minister and ambassador

President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.

The information the president relayed had been provided by a U.S. partner through an intelligence-sharing arrangement considered so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and tightly restricted even within the U.S. government, officials said.

The partner had not given the United States permission to share the material with Russia, and officials said Trump’s decision to do so endangers cooperation from an ally that has access to the inner workings of the Islamic State. After Trump’s meeting, senior White House officials took steps to contain the damage, placing calls to the CIA and the National Security Agency.
