The bombers NATO code designation Blackjack, is a variable-sweep wing nuclear weapon capable bomber able to penetrate both high and low altitude enemy defenses.

Putin is acting like an imature USMB poster.

That should not be surprising. It was built at about the same time as the B1, and the engineering possible at the time largely dictates how they would look.

The Buran looks a lot like the Space Shuttle, and the Tu-144 (as well as the never built Boeing 2707, Lockheed L-2000, and North American NAC-60) all looked an amazingly like the Concord.

That is largely because of the limits of engineering at the time. But the Soviets-Russians have always loved the VSR design, even more than the US did.
