From what I can see, the Guardian does lean left, but the owners of this media wanted to make sure it wasn't taken over by the 5 big commercial media groups that have since bought up all the media and now it is censored big time. Well this is how that attack went for Russia. That village is on the south bank of the S-D. Russia wants to surround the Ukrainian forces in Severodonetsk and cut them off, so they need to get across the river.

They tried to cross in 3 places. This village was one of them. They say there were about 90 people left in the village and took refuge in the basement of the school.

The Russians started to cross the river, then the crossing was hit. The other 2 attempts at crossing were repelled. First map is May 7. The cursor is pointing to the village. The second map is May 10. There is about a company of Russian soldiers trapped in the village, they can't go anywhere because the crossing was blown to hell behind them.
