President Obama and the ACA vindicated

If Trump drops the government appeal of the court case challenging government subsidies for insurer's loses on ACA, then he owns it, and those who lose health insurance as a result will hold him responsible. The result would be the same kind a mass rejection of the GOP policies that Kansas and Louisiana have been going through. If the government pays the subsidies, ACA is not going to fail at all.
Obamacare should be an "opt in"... since it was forced on people that do not want it and will never use it, it's taxation without representation. Fact

Sorry Rustic. As a retired health insurance executive, I can assure you that "opt in" means "adverse selection", which, in layman's terms, means that only sick people "opt in", which also means that it would be unsustainable, which also means that you are about 5 steps behind the GOP congressional people who have finally discovered that they are seriously fucked for demonizing ACA for all these years, and are now doing their very best to get out of the firing line..

There is no vindication for a bill that is imploding before your very eyes. To think there is just shows how stupid you are.
Why no support for repeal then? Don't worry, you don't have to answer if you're not feeling up to it.
The GOP are cowards. Period.

The RINOs are cowards and i'd like to see em gone in the next election.

I think MANY of you are ignoring the elephant in the room. The GOP!

Yeah a Democrat thug instituted this law that's hurting people. Those people then called the GOPolice to rescue them from this threat. The police answered the call but when they arrived they just sat in the street and WATCHED as that thug continued to rape you!

You think those people are going to give the GOPolice a fucking pass?

If the GOP sits by as this bill & the middle class collapse and does nothing they can kiss their careers goodbye. And I'll be right there kicking them in the ass as they go out the door.

WTF are you talking about?
The do nothing GOP is the problem!!
They have the majority yet they've done nothing. They're no different than the lefties.

Obamacare only works for progressives, the rest of us did not want it and will never use it.

What?!?!

The "government" doesn't PAY for ANYTHING.....
It takes money from you and me and re-allocates it by force of guns called law enforcement.
I call that extortion or slavery.

Or, as in the case of Democrat presidents, PRINTS all the money the ink supplies will allow.

Look up Quantitative easing during the Obama years.

No doubt about it. You should get out your tomahawk and musket, put on your tri-corner hat, and throw tea boxes off of the ship in the harbor......

I guess it is...in my defense I was drunk posting.:alcoholic:

How is it a vindication? It was horrible when it was signed into law pretty much everything its critics said would happen has happened higher premiums, high deductibles, fewer choices the fact the Republicans can't get there act together doesn't make Obamacare great.

Well, since it is obvious that, in spite of 8 years of bitching about it, the GOP can not come up with anything better, that they demonized it much more than was justified. In fact, we will end up with the only solution possible, expanding Medicare to cover everyone, but that will take dragging the GOP kicking and screaming into the 20th century, which may take another 100 years.

Your nice little rant does nothing to explain how Obamacare has been vindicated. The mistake the GOP made was thinking this piece of garbage could be repealed the reality is when an entitlement is put in place and takes root it's all but impossible to get rid of it the Republicans should have left it alone and let the Democrats continue to own it.

If Trump and the GOP choose to allow our healthcare system to collapse, the responsibility falls on them.

They're both full of bullshit.

The GOP did not CHOOSE to allow our health care system - the POS Barry and Democrats imposed upon the American people, the one already collapsing. The GOP did not 'Choose' one single thing about the failing POS called OBAMAcare because not one single Republican voted for it.

The Democrats rammed their MINORITY-supported piece of Socialist Legislation into law on their own. To do so Obama and the Democrats completely destroyed the previously existing health care insurance system, replacing it with the ACA.

Harry Reid even ADMITTED the ACA was 'built to fail', a fact they withheld from Americans while telling their lies about the ACA. If Harry Reid can be honest about the ACA, why can't snowflakes.

The OP, however, must mean that the GOP CHOSE to not pass health care legislation to replace the ACA...if so, he would still be an idiot or a liar. The GOP failed to come to a consensus on what the legislation should contain. There is a big difference between choosing to fail and not coming to a required consensus.

- I understand why snowflakes don't know the difference because they don't understand how decisions are made when 'free choice' is involved. They are used to having things rammed down their throats and being told who to support, as with their last Presidential candidate. They don't understand this is the process legislation is supposed to go through when one party is not ramming legislation down the out-numbered party's throats or when their President is not bypassing Congress altogether to do whatever he pleases.

The Captain of the Exon Valdize is attempting to claim his piss-poor performance as a captain has been vindicated by the clean-up crew's failure to get rid of all the oil that spilled out of his tanker when he hit the rocks and all the damage it caused. :p

The GOP's near unanimous agreement that the ACA should not be fully repealed and thus healthcare returned to its state of existence before 2009 is a complete vindication of the ACA. In this sense, the GOP acknowledges that something in the vein of the ACA was needed to address our healthcare system's problems, and unwittingly admits that the 61 times they voted for full repeal were nothing more than political stunts.

If Trump and the GOP choose to allow our healthcare system to collapse, the responsibility falls on them.

Never in a thousand years did I think I'd see the day where a sitting U.S. President openly spoke about hoping for the collapse of his constituent's healthcare, and bragged about working for that to happen. Hopefully Americans remember that come November 2018.

It's not vindicated...the Republicans are cowards....and the collapse of obama care was planned....they just thought hilary would be there to ram through single payer.....a system that doesn't work for the VA, and doesn't work in any country that has it....they are all collapsing..they can't afford them, they can't keep enough doctors and nurses and people are dying....

The GOP certainly DID choose to let the ACA fail (though it's looking like it may not) by sabotaging funding to high risk corridors, not expanding Medicare in GOP controlled states, stopping enforcement of the mandate, and creating doubts over future federal supplements. Combine all that with the GOP's maneuvering to make it impossible to revise or improve the law in any way, and what you get is a party that fully expected Trump to lose in November and decided to stay the course on party over country.

These guys, these Rubes, are not very bright at all and they keep Trump afloat politically

What allowed Trump to remain afloat and win the election is the DNC forcing upon their voters the worst candidate in US history, a woman who should have been wearing an orange jumpsuit on election day instead of a $2,000 pants suit.

And nice meme - that's the closest thing to 'evidence' against Trump Democrats have been able to present so far.

I find it amusing how, the more the GOP fails in trying to repeal what the majority of Americans clearly want, the angrier the RW is at the democrats! Now, a logical person would blame the republicans for these failures, especially since they have voted 61 times to repeal it, and failed each time, and especially since no democrat has their fingerprints on any of this since Trump took office, but, well, logic is not the forte of the Right.....

The left doing what they do.
First they create this monster and force it on the American people, who inequivocally rejected it.

Then when it fails, as everybody knew it would, they blame the people who said it was not workable.

"You just did it wrong!" The eternal lament of commies who can't figure out why it NEVER WORKS.
