For a moment, there weren't 100,000 fans screaming in anticipation. There was silence.

And for a moment, there was something bigger than the game of football. There was prayer.

Minutes before the captains met for the coin toss, every player, coach and person on the field got together at the 50-yard line for a moment of silence to reflect on life and pray for the victims involved in the sexual assault case involving former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky.

"We knew we were going to go into a battle against each other because it was a big game for both teams," said Nebraska's running back coach Ron Brown, who led both teams in prayer. "But there was something bigger. We know there are jobs being lost and all kinds of things and who knows what is going to happen at Penn State particularly in the upcoming months here. But there was a humility and a sincerity and a vulnerability as all the players took their hats off and knelt before God. "

I'm still trying to figure out WHY it took over a DECADE for these heinous accusations and charges to come to light. WHY didn't the numerous victims come forward before NOW?

I have never been sexually molested, but I would imagine there is an enormous amount of embarrassment and anxiety that goes along with admitting something like that happened to you, especially if you're a guy.

No Mention of: children, pedofile, moral obligations to kids and doing the right thing....very interesting pregame prayer. All about football is how this situation happened and their prayer is about: football?

Fuckers.
