The most beautiful Irish song. Every Nov 14th my small group gathers at the Vietnam wall at 6:20 AM to honor our fallen comrades who fell on Nov 14-17, 1965. In 2005 I sang this song to them.

This is my favorite Irish song and was going to post it if no one else had.

Thank you for posting it and thank you and your group for your service, and to those fallen.

My favourite Irish toast:

Here's to you and here's to me!
May we never disagree!
But if by chance we ever do ---
Then here's to me! Ta hell with you!

The best Irish toast.

May you be in Heaven five minutes before the Devil finds out you're gone.

I love this song. My dad used to sing it, when us kids were small. I also saw/heard it sung by the McGuire Sisters on the Dick Cavett show, when they were in their 50s or 60s.

Much older looking than when they had their hit songs I the 50s, but they had not lost a note or their powerful, splendid harmony. Frankly, they way they sang this song, knocked my socks off. I've never forgotten it. Wish I could find it on the internet somewhere to see and hear it again.
