There, that settles it everyone, open your ports or find yourselves in purgatory.

Though I am in agreement with you about some of the personal views of the pope as on immigration and climate change, I am disappointed you would use false and disproven leftwing atheist talking points to slam the Catholic Church. We've been over these things many times. The RCC does not sell indulgences, even if some within the church misguidedly did so centuries ago. And Catholic priest molestations, even at the height of their occurrence is less than the population at large. Today, new cases have dwindled to near zero.

The common enemies your church and mine have is atheism and Marxism; not each other.

And was Martin Luther perfect? No, but he appeared to do his best to follow scripture to the best of his ability instead of merely taking advantage of people.

That said, you say Marxism is our great enemy? Why then does the Pope always sound like a Marxist? Why does he give long sermons on the evils of building walls, another heresy if you are familiar with Nehemiah, and about global warming, while ignoring the mass genocide of the Left all around us with abortion and ignoring the 600 lbs gorilla in the room of pedophilia in the church?

Why did the Catholic church remain silent about that Holocaust like it does abortion today? The answer, self-preservation so that the National Socialists did not murder them all and take all their loot.

1). If you want to go on about false teaching, look no further than Martin Luther. He was about self-interest, first and foremost, as evidenced by his marrying. Luther wanted to change the rules so he could do what he wanted. Today we see the fruits of his heresy. Protestant Churches are vanishing before our eyes BECAUSE of the permissiveness and laxity Luther introduced.

2) In every organization, there are fallible corrupt men who claim to represent the teachings of Christ. These in no way invalidate the perfect teachings of Jesus or His Church. There was never actual selling of indulgences, though abuses crept in when almsgiving is part of repentence. Again, fallible men; not official church teaching.

3) Again, the pope's personal beliefs as in climate change, have nothing to do with official church teaching, and needn't be believed or followed by Catholics. As for abortion, this pope has certainly condemned it, and previous points frequently did so. Not sure where that criticism comes from.

4) Pope Pius XII regularly spoke against the Nazis. His position was well-known. But it is easy to have the open-ended criticism that somebody "didn't do enough". You could say that about anybody on any issue. The fact is, the Pope worked behind the scenes to shelter and protect Jews.

5) Now back to you. You're acting like the church promotes pedophilia which is false. You act like the few wayward priests who violated church teaching by molesting were in greater percentage than any other group. Again false. The leftwing media highlights these far fewer abuses because the the Catholic Church is the greatest impediment to the advancement of Marxism. Evidence of that is the far greater rate of molestation in the public schools system which the media ignores. Your bringing up RCC pedophilia is doing the atheists' work for them. You have fallen for their propaganda. You believe you are "speaking out", but you are spreading falsehoods and ill-will about Jesus perfect Church.
