No it's not my idea of a debate. It is posting polls so people can comment if they like. That's all.

You have to click "no toss ups" on the RCP map to get the equivalent snapshot of the state-level leads. That gives Romney the states he's currently ahead in and Obama the states he's ahead in.

The RCP map predicts an Obama electoral college landslide (332-206) were the election held today.

Jimmy Carter had a crushing lead at this point too

But it's not held Today so that all seems rather pointless.

Not really..

Is the 2012 election more like 1980 or 2004? « 2012 Election Central

Additionally Obama isn't dealing with a failed spook operation, a fake oil crisis and a traitorious opponent scheming with the enemy to hold American hostages until 1/2 hour that opponent is inaugurated.

The "landslide" occurred in November 2010 when America stormed the nation and unilaterally rejected the marxist policies of the now radical Democrat Party by taking ownership of the electoral college.

You're a fucking idiot of EPIC proportions if anyone believes Obama will get ONE SINGLE vote from a conservative representative. It is over. Obama is going home. He knew it in November 2010.

If you check out the swing states on RCP here is how they sort out.
Nevada Obama +5 it has not been updated since 7-24
Colorado Obama +1 it goes through 8-14
Wisconsin Obama +3.5 through 8-15
Iowa Obama +1 through 8-8
Ohio Obama +1.8 through 8-14
New Hampshire Obama +3.5 through 8-12
Virginia Obama +1 through 8-14
North Carolina Romney +1 through 8-5
Florida Obama +1 through 8-15
What I see here is outside of Nevada which has not been updated for sometime every swing state within the margin of error or a outright dead heat neither candidate has a major advantage.

Yeah - Obama is doing sooooo well! Unemployment is on the RISE in 44 out of 50 states (well, Obama thinks there are 57 states, so he doesn't realize how bad this is ). Keep telling yourselves he has a prayer of getting re-elected liberals....

According to a recent report from Bloomberg News, unemployment increased in*44 states*last month

Such is the nature of any election poll. It merely offers a snapshot of where people are at today.

We certainly "saw where they were at" in the last election, didn't we? When their was an ass-kicking of historic proportions. The American people were so disgusted with Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, that they were even sending home liberal mayors and liberal auditors...

Five Thrity Five Forecast

There wasn’t much in the way of polling data on Friday. The national tracking polls were released — Mitt Romney and Paul D. Ryan got a comparatively poor number in the Rasmussen Reports tracking poll, which had President Obama pulling into a one-point lead after having trailed in that survey for much of the past few weeks. And there was a new national survey from the firm Angus Reid, which conducts online polls. It had Mr. Romney ahead by four points — up from a tie in its poll last month.

...

It also shows 300 electoral votes for Obama & 238 for Romney as well as a 69.6 % chance of Obama winning vs. 30.4% for Romney. Popular vote 50.8% to 48.2% Obama/Romney.

But all the electoral college maps I've seen have Obama ahead pretty significantly and the electoral college is what counts. His national lead is anywhere from 2-4 points depending on the polls you look at but the national vote doesn't mean much unless the electoral college reflects a turnaround and Romney lead.

Try this again. Romney needs to work harder: he has one state outside of the margin. However, MO, which was a toss up, is in the bank for Romney.
