Poll: Is Haiti a shithole?

Is Haiti a shithole?

  • Total voters
    100
Over 95% voting in the poll agree Haiti is a shit hole. My church sends people there once....sometimes twice a year on mission trips to help an orphanage. Most people in Haiti do well to eat one small bowl of rice each day.

I have to wonder what is preventing development from happening in this country. It seems like the island is in a great location to develop a tourism industry.
I guess you'd say, a long series of unfortunate invents beginning with their freedom from France and debt that bankrupted the nation followed by years of political upheaval, domination by foreign powers, 3 times the US invaded Haiti, years of revolution, brutal dictatorships, inept governments, and more than it's share of natural disasters.

Perspective | This is how ignorant you have to be to call Haiti a ‘shithole’
You realize you just listed a bunch of reasons why Haiti is a shithole, then said it was ignorant to call it a shithole.
Of course it's ignorant. Profanity is used by the uneducated because they lack language skills to properly express themselves. For the president to use such language causes public relations problems with those he insults as well those he doesn't. His staff has to spend time trying to cover for him. He is now tweeting and claiming he never said it. The issue has become so toxic with congressmen, that they are setting aside his immigration legislation and are taking up extending the deadline for the government shutdown. It's just another stupid blunder from a president that doesn't know what he's doing.
How much does your world change if some Haitians are upset. Do you think they'll go somewhere else now?
It's not just Haitians. Donald Trump as president speaks for the nation and is telling the world by word and deed, the inscription on the Statue of Liberty is just a lot of nonsense.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door"
Alas, when snowflakes melt. It's a sad thing to witness.

Here is Haiti as liberals tell us it's like:

When you get there, this is what greets you:

Yup. Its a little shithole.

The idea that softening the terminology some how makes these foreigners lives in their shithole nations better is so fucking elitist first-world I cannot even fathom how anyone could be so stupid as to believe it.

The foreigners didn't get offended because of the words used, they got offended because they know it's true, and they know they've done nothing to try to make things better for their people. No doubt they thought they were going to be required to do something about it rather than look like shithole leaders to the world, but then the MSM let them off of that "embarrassment" because of their one party agenda to get rid of Trump.

Its rather sad, for those shitholes I mean, it won't affect anything here but expose what simpering idiots the left really are.

Cultural sensitivity is just being aware that cultural differences and similarities between people exist without assigning them a value – positive or negative, better or worse, right or wrong. /QUOTE]
Funny, that sounds actually insensitive to cultural differences.

I can't WAIT to see a photo of Hillary in a orange jumpsuit sporting
'tats' and a 'gold grille'...........and a crew-cut.
Lol, get serious.

Hillary at worst will do a few months in a Club Fed pen, and nothing more and I highly doubt even thatmuch.

While we are doing these polls on shitholes can we vote on Democrat run San Francisco?

San Francisco Is A Literal S***hole, Public Defecation Map Reveals

San Francisco Is A Literal Shithole, Public Defecation Map Reveals

The map charts all of the locations for human excrement “incidents” reported to the San Francisco police during a given month. The interactive map shows precise locations of the incidents by marking them with poop emojis:

The project shows that the heatmap for poo is most heavily concentrated directly in downtown San Francisco.

According to the SF Weekly, San Francisco has a major shithole problem:

Quoting some foreigner as a representative of America doesn't make whatever point it is you're attempting.

No, foreigners and American are offend by the language. The language is offensive and mean-spirited and serves no useful purpose. Everyone knows the situation in Haiti is bad and has been for years. Trump's remarks make it more difficult for congress to pass his immigration agenda and makes it more difficult for Americans in third world countries. The fact is words do matter, particularly when they are coming from the president.

You are offended by the language, or pretending to be. No one knows better than Haitians what a shithole their country is. Why do you think they risk their very lives to gtfo of there.

That foreigner is Emma Lazarus, a native born American who captured in her poem, the essence of what has really made America great.

She never mentions illegal aliens. She might be onto something.

Lazarus’s words go from just some poem to a text that’s equivalent to the Declaration of Independence in the eyes of liberals.

That’s simply not the case.

Lazarus was neither a Founding Father nor a towering figure in American history. Her words have never been law and her poem is not attached to the Constitution. It’s simply the expression of one 19th century socialist. The poem wasn’t even placed on the Statue of Liberty when the monument was unveiled in 1886, which of course was a gift from France to the United States.

The idea that Lazarus’s poem is somehow equivalent to the Constitution, the Declaration or the writings of the Founders is ridiculous. Nor has American migration resembled the picture Lazarus describes in her writing.

The Statue Of Liberty Poem Is Now A Weapon In America’s Culture War

I doubt many people would disagree but that is not the point. Using such language is hurtful and there is no reason for it. It certainly does not advance Trump's agenda. It doesn't promote good relations between the US and other nations and creates an image of Americans as vulgar and illiterate.

Trump could have said, "we are searching for permanent solutions that make our country stronger by welcoming those who can contribute to our society" instead of using racist vulgar language.

This is a perfect example of what makes Trump such a bad president. He doesn't think before he speaks. President's do not write their policy they speak it. When he make remarks then denies it or reverses himself it creates confusion as to exactly what is American policy. It cause the administration to work at cross purposes, creates confusion in congress, and distrust among our allies.

The Don said whatever he said in a private meeting. Besides, he doesn't play by your nancy pants rules. Weeping and sorry left the building with Obama. Trump is changing the rules for entry into the country. If you want to know more about what's to come, listen to his campaign promises. He's keeping every one of them.

This language was used in a closed meeting. Leaking that particular statement, whether factual or not, served as a poison pill to the process intended only for political gain.
