a. Anyone that denies racism still doesn't exist is a bald faced liar.
b. Anyone that denies "TRUE" racists shouldn't be held accountable is a hack.

Yes there's plenty of work to do, but unfortunately obama set back race relations half a century.

Half a century ago, most blacks couldn't vote in the South and they were still getting lynched, and most white people were against interracial marriage.

But yes, Obama sent the country back to Segregation.

The Right talks about how one day minorities will wake up to the fact that the GOP is better for them, yet it absolutely refuses to deal with the very behaviors that keep minorities away. No doubt the Left is very thankful for that.

Naw, the Right should be terrified of the day that white trash making less than six figures figures out that the GOP isn't better for them, either.

Affirmative action is discriminatory, yes.

Not really.

True story..

Worked at a company a few years back we had this white manager, who mostly hung around with a little clique of his own buddies, almost all white people.

In my Department, we had three people leave in a four month period.

1) An Asian American woman who had been with the company for 9 years, and had developed a lot of the vendor contacts the company used in procuring parts.

2) An African American woman who had been with the company two years.

3) A pretty white intern who had only been with the company for the summer.

NOW-

We had going away lunches for all three of these women. Guess which one he cleared his schedule for so he could attend? (Okay, it was the pretty intern).

I don't think this man was racist. But I did find it amusing what his priorities were.

Now, imagine what that kind of otherwise benign mindset does when making hiring and promotion decisions. (He didn't hire either of the two ladies he couldn't be bothered with).

As long as the people who are making the hiring decisions are white males, how do you propose giving minorities and women a fair shot?

This is true, but the trend over the last 50 years has been that the right has become much less racist and the left much more.

I don't think that's true.

Are you really arguing that Trump isn't a heck of a lot more racist than George W. Bush (who made sincere efforts to reach out to minorities and even made some progress)?

But yet you talk to Republicans today, they have nothing but contempt for Bush as a RINO, but think that Trump is pretty much the Second Coming.

Libturds thought Obama was the "second coming"........

How'd that "hope and change" thingy work out for ya?

ROFL

Tell ya what, twitface......Trump SURE AS HELL is doing more for the nation than Obama.
Whether he's setting us ALL up is yet to be seen...but the difference so far is night and day and you're an imbecile if you refute that.

SENSIBLE Leftists are even beginning to admit it because you can only deny TRUTH for so long.

Get over it.

Whenever race and Obama come up in the same sentence, what I recall most is two things: Obama's frank stupidity about thinking he had to weigh in on every issue where race was a factor. The episode that ended in the Beer Summit was entirely preventable but once he waded into it, he did about the best he could. The other thing that comes to mind was his minister. Now you're telling me that this minister knew Obama was a State Senator from Illinois and a US Senator, had married he and his wife...and they never talked politics? Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul Shit!!!! Obama knew the minister's politics. That he wasn't called on it by the media is probably the #1 or #1a indication of just how in-the-bag the media was for Obama. Of course, again, Obama did probably the best he could with the Reverend Wright fiasco.

As for the thread and the healing of race relations, Obama wanted to address school children nationwide with a televised speech. The reaction to POTUS wanting to address school kids? Florida Republican Party Chairman Jim Greer last week accused Obama of trying to "indoctrinate America's children to his socialist agenda."
That was before even reading the speech. That was 8 months into his Presidency.

There is currently a thread in the conspiracy section--very recently started--that still question's Obama's place of birth.

It isn't even a serious question which "side" starts and fans the flames of racism most often.

That was largely due to the FACT that Obama himself thought he was the 2nd coming......
His ego also dwarfted the Goodyear blimp size wise, considerably

Total Garbage. You should try harder....

PS: Capitalizing "FACT" doesn't lend any credibility to your words.

I think the thing with the Beer Summit was that we all wanted to give the cops the benefit of the doubt, because Cops were still enjoying some of thier post-9/11 goodwill. I think Obama had it right the first time, that these cops acted really stupidly, then he felt he had to back down.

Actually, what annoyed me the most about the Wright Fiasco is how fast Obama was to throw Granny under the bus. He tolerated Wright's intolerance because his Granny (you know, the woman who raised him because his actual parents couldn't be bothered) once expressed nervousness about a homeless guy who harassed her when she waited for public transportation.

wright was someone who was a benefit when he was a politician on the South Side of Chicago, but became a liability on a national stage. So he became perfect for a "Sistuh Souljer" moment. The loud person you can denounce to look oh, so reasonable.

No, it really isn't. The thing that annoys me the most about the Right's opposition to Obama was that they were against things they were formerly for because "The Black Guy did it". The GOP should have looked at ACA as a victory. They were doing it their way, but "The black guy did it."

Here in Oz we have a bit of a thing happening where some MPs are actually being evicted from Parliament because they are Citizens of another country BY BIRTH PARENT. Under our Law Obama would be considered a dual citizen unless he'd taken active steps to denunciate his Brit OST citizenship. I would be fascinated to see that go to court.

Who are Australia's dual citizen MPs?

I haven't seen any comment as to whether Obama personally would be considered a dual national.

You "Race Card" idiots really believe everything is about race don't you?
It never occurred to you that people didn't like Obama because of the Anti-Amercan stupid shit he did.....

Sure, there are some racist whites....AND some racist blacks....SO FUCKING WHAT? GET OVER IT ALREADY.

That's what's getting old. You losers who have nothing left but the race card to play.

No, actually, it really doesn't because Obama ruled as a pretty moderate guy.

Here's the thing. Blacks don't have the institutional power to act on their racism. Whites do. Blacks can hate me for being white all day, but that has little effect on my life. But a white bigot with the power to hire and fire and make arrests on petty charges... um, yeah, he can make life pretty miserable if you have the wrong skin tone.

Total Garbage. You should try harder....
PS: Capitalizing "FACT" doesn't lend any credibility to your words.

Since you have no clue what credibility is.....we'll just ignore your nonsense.
Now then, which one of these is you?

No, actually, it really doesn't because Obama ruled as a pretty moderate guy.

If you really believe that, you're about as racist as they get.
Again, we just had 8 years of a BLACK PRESIDENT.......how quickly you deem that insignificant.
Maduro believes he's moderate. Xi believes he's moderate. Stalin believed he was moderate.
It's called perspective, and yours is seriously out of focus.

Here's the thing. Blacks don't have the institutional power to act on their racism. Whites do. Blacks can hate me for being white all day, but that has little effect on my life. You're so fucked up in the head.
Blacks are in Congress.
Blacks all over the nation are multi millionaires.
Blacks run local governments.
Blacks own movie companies and significant enterprises all across the country.
Just because you have no clue how to get off your ass and conquer doesn't mean the entire race is as lazy and welfare minded as you apparently are.

All you're saying (even if you don;t realize it) is that human nature is racist. Doesn't matter who's in charge.
SO if and when blacks run the nation, they will no doubt be just as bad or more likely, worse.

So do you have a valid point to make this evening (that puts down the race baiting card for a moment)?

I'm truly, seriously beginning to have my doubts. I think the division pimps on both ends of this are winning.

I voted yes, for what I used to think were obvious reasons.

Please respond and expand, thanks.

I voted yes. But I think the OP is lost and tricked by the divisive rhetoric of the right..

There are no division pimps on both ends. I'd like to know what is divisive about holding whites accountable for things they have done and keep doing?

I don't think the OP has ever taken the time to look at this matter critically.

I see one black man on youtube.

For Sharpton to be race pimping racism must have ended so:

Prove when racism ended and its effects were allayed. Show, with data and peer-reviewed studies supporting your argument, when the effects of the hundreds of years of anti-Black racism from chattel slavery through Old Jim Crow leveled off. Show when the wealth expropriated during that oppression was repaid to those it was expropriated from and through. And remember, after you’ve addressed the end of anti-Black racism you’ll still have to explain when anti-Latinx, anti-Asian, anti-Arab, and anti-Native racism came to an end as well.
