Police State: Man Sentenced To 30 Days In Jail, Collecting Rainwater On His Property

Our rights exist by law enacted by our elected representatives in Congress and state and local legislative bodies. The way to change the law is through the legislative process, not defiance of its authority. Those that run afoul of the law will not receive its protection and suffer its sanctions.

"When injustice becomes law then resistance becomes duty"

No, that is not correct. You are not at liberty to violate the law, nor free to take the law into your own hands. We live under the rule of law, and no person can be above the law. Injustice is corrected by lawful actions, not lawlessness.

So you're telling Thomas Jefferson he's wrong when he said

"When injustice becomes law then resistance becomes duty"

This is crazy...but if you think big brother wants to control the water you should see what these Corporations are doing overseas water resources.

NOT just overseas.

I believe that a SWISS corporation now owns Poland Springs here in Maine.

There is a move afoot by some international corporations to purchase sources of water around the world.

Long term players (and what are corporations if NOT long term players?) do stuff like that.

Hell I'm considering putting in a well, just in case, even though I am on (and have no choice BUT to be on) town water.

A German company bought the main water company for Lexington and most of central Kentucky.

Whan I lived in Florida Peire (sp?) water and the state were fussing about how much water the bottled water company could draw from a spring they owned.

Damn big state govt FL.
Bush was Gov at the time.

The ideas expressed by Thomas Jefferson were not adopted by the framers of the Constitution. The framers of the Constitution created a nation of laws and not men. It is the Constitution that established the framework of our government and rights under the law.

If the ideas expressed by Jefferson were not adopted by the framers they never would have declared Independence and would have lived under the unjust laws of the king of England.

The Revolutionary War was waged for independence from the rule of the English monarchy, in which the colonies were not granted representation. Thereafter the United States was established as a constitutional republic; which is a representative form of government subject to the rule of law. If you think that a law is unjust, then the means to remedy injustice is to change the law through legislation. That's the way the law works.

OH I get it it's just different now than it was then.
I don't care what year it is, an unjust law is an unjust law and should never be obeyed

Yes it is completely different. We have a lawfully constituted government under the rule of law.

No it's not different and unjust law then is still an unjust law now.

Hitler had some laws would you resist those laws? or would you accept them?

Hitler was a dictator who assumed supreme power in Nazi Germany. Under the U.S. Constitution, it is the law that is supreme.

Before Hitler Germany was a democracy and had laws,
You are absolutely in capable of seeing that even in a elected republic if the elected Representative's do not follow the law themselves they become tyrants and make that beloved "we have laws" seem meaningless

The law provides the remedy for representatives that betray they trust, which is impeachment from office and prosecution for violation of the law.

That trust has already been betrayed, so when has anyone been removed from Congress or removed from their elected position?

Does anyone think that today an 'armed citizenry' could resist the central government's forces?
In 1790 a Kentucky or Pennsylvania rifle was even superior to the arms of the British or regular US army. A group of local militia could actually hope to withstand an outside force.
Yes, the times have changed.
Yes, the rule of law has replaced physical force in America.
Yes, the electorate should have power.
So, how is it that 'they' run over 'us'?

Ask Russia, why are we still in Afghanistan?

Why the hell is the US still in Afghanistan? Great damn question!

But Afghanistan is not the US. They have never stopped fighting, if not against invaders, then against each other, for thousands of years. They have immense spaces to disappear into, are armed with fully auto weapons, know their terrain to the square centimeter, and fight a force that will and wants to go home.

If you think people are not even willing to vote for a third party, how many do you think will join you in an armed rebellion almost certain to fail?
