What once was a backward red jesusland state , looks to be going forward and the people have won
Newly elected democratic Louisiana governor John Bel Edwards was officially sworn into office today, marking the end of the controversial tenure of outgoing republican governor Bobby Jindal. The latter’s run was marked by a humiliating Presidential campaign, an inept State of the Union rebuttal, disastrous environmental policies in the Gulf, and perhaps most strikingly, a refusal to accept Medicaid expansion funds from the federal government out of political spite. But that last part officially changes as of tomorrow.
Bobby Jindal left office today. 100,000 residents of Louisiana will gain health care tomorrow.
