What once was a backward red jesusland state , looks to be going forward and the people have won

Newly elected democratic Louisiana governor John Bel Edwards was officially sworn into office today, marking the end of the controversial tenure of outgoing republican governor Bobby Jindal. The latter’s run was marked by a humiliating Presidential campaign, an inept State of the Union rebuttal, disastrous environmental policies in the Gulf, and perhaps most strikingly, a refusal to accept Medicaid expansion funds from the federal government out of political spite. But that last part officially changes as of tomorrow.

This should give him time to concentrate more on his Presidential campaign.

What was stopping them from purchasing healthcare or insurance before?????

Sure the newly elected idiot will take the Medicaid, which is our tax dollasr, to pay for those that can't pay for themselves.

The Fed isn't going to provide that tax money forever and when it stops LA taxpayers will be picking up the tab.

Who's paying for it, stupid?
Geez, you are dumb!

Jindal pretty much destroyed the LA budget and surplus, so his work there is done. He was getting pretty close to moving the state down another notch, which would have made it below Mississippi in may measures, but he just did not have the time to complete that task.

Ask the 14 million who have it now, bucs90, that did not have it before?
All for the low low price of $1.2 Trillion. Further bankrupting the country for that asshole's wet dream.

Wait till the subsidies go away. Goodbye healthcare.
False figure on ACA by a falsifier. If and when we get it all back, the GOP will call ACA something else and amend it.

It's not going away.

Wrong, moron. Thoughtful people like myself have been for tort reform which addresses abuses.
Instead, stupid people like you want to create another layer of costly socialistic bureaucracy which does nothing to address the abuse.
Your stupid ilk puts socialism above personal responsibility and liberty.
Moron.
