Yes the new demoncrat position on spending is to include the war spending in the budget.
One of the few things I agree with Obama about.

the cost of the wars have all ways been in the total for the year
Please stop repeating that lie
UPDATE: Many Obama defenders in the comments are claiming that the numbers above do not include spending on Iraq and Afghanistan during the Bush years. They most certainly do. While Bush did fund the wars through emergency supplementals (not the regular budget process), that spending did not simply vanish. It is included in the numbers above. Also, some Obama defenders are claiming the graphic above represents biased Heritage Foundation numbers. While we stand behind the numbers we put out 100%, the numbers, and the graphic itself, above are from the Washington Post. We originally left out the link to WaPo. It has now been added.

After reviewing the other posts I guess some do not realize that?
It sure is!!! Bush borrowed $500 billion in 2007 causing the national debt to rise by $500 billion. If all Bush borrowed was $162 billion the debt would not have risen $500 billion.BULLSHIT!!!!!!!And we came within 162 billion dollars of breaking even for the year, we call a balanced budget

He keeps ignoring that.
He also ignores the fact that a recent calculation of the Bush deficits found they were off by some 190 billion dollars.

Government - Historical Debt Outstanding - Annual 2000 - 2010

But using two different accounting procedures. In the 2009 budget, 4 Bush accounting gimmicks to make the deficit look smaller were eliminated. That is why honest people use the increase in the national debt from year to year to calculate the true deficit because the debt is calculated the same for every year. Dishonest people don't use the change in the debt.and remember the Iraq war was off the budget, recall the supplemental spending bills for the war?

BULLSHIT!!! Any interest is from the trillions of debt run up by Reagan and Bush I and 6 years of Bush II reckless spending totaling over $3 trillion by 2007. So that is 18 years of CON$ervative borrow and spend policies. It sure is!!! Bush borrowed $500 billion in 2007 causing the national debt to rise by $500 billion.
