Terry, once healthcare reform is passed, it will win or lose on it's own merit. I contend Republicans don't want to see it succeed and thus pick apart every positive comment anyone, not just Pelosi, have to say about it.

any bill no matter what the subject of it is that is kept hidden from the American people is a bad BILL...if it is so good why is it being kept from it being viewed. Common sense only needs to be applied here not partisanship like you are spewing with your typical statement.

If it was a PRO-GUN, PRO LIFE bill I and it was R's behind this I would be just as outraged. You should be ashamed of yourself for being a sheep.

If Pelosi was a statesman (stateswoman?), she would have said:

"We need to move out of this partisan fog. And to accomplish that I am going to see that the bill, in its entirety, is posted clause by clause at this internet site along with the plain English interpretation of all the legaleze.

Then we are going to invite your questions, comments, criticisms, and compliments for the bill and will trust you to accurately represent what is in the bill so that the American people can understand it also.

We ask all the finest legal minds in the country to also read the bill and advise if they see any dangerous loopholes that we have overlooked.

My congressman Dan Lipinski is a total PUSSY he refuses to hold townhall meetings and listen to what his constituants want and their views. hopefully this will be his last term because of this lack of concern of his constituants!!! Yes, it will be years before we see any meaningful reform. Some after this year's election and a lot more after Obama is safely re-elected. They sure as hell weren't going to jeopardize their re-election chances any more than they already have.

As I understand it, though, as the bill currently stands, we will get a lot of the taxes right away though.
